What’s your favorite synth?
I’ve got a Moog One, and while the One is pretty much an (almost) everything synth, and makes a formidable studio centerpiece, the Matriarch, at a quarter of the price is way more fun. It’s only monophonic. Paraphony isn’t that useful if you want true polyphony. But the quality and immediacy of the tone is incredible, the patching possibilities allow you to get outrageously zany, and the dual bucket delay is to die for.
Dear god.
Every sound this thing makes is candy for the ears. My last synth was the Korg Minilogue XD, which sounds great and is a far more powerful synth. However, I like the Moog WAY more. The Minilogue can do almost anything, but it takes a lot longer to make a patch that sounds perfect. With the Moog, you...

Moog Grandmother vs Matriarch (Comparison & Shootout!)
When it comes to cost, the Moog Grandmother does come at a lower cost than its counterpart. It’s by no fine margin either, with nearly $1000 separating the two. This makes the Grandmother the clear winner in this category

Moog MATRIARCH: Review, full tutorial and patch ideas
Let's talk about pros and cons first, and I mention this in any semi modular review, but it's an important thing to consider. While you can save sequences, there's no saving presets here, certainly not patching ideas so consider that versus other synths in this price range. The advantage of your F connectivity and a broad range of patching options comes with a disadvantage of not being able to save patches other than in the camera of your phone

Fantastic sound, big fun
Wanted to dip my toe into something semi modular and felt like this was the perfect starting point. The packaging is great, everything arrived sealed and tucked away with care from the good people at Moog. The build was super fun, about 15 minutes, just some careful alignment and screwing of screws....

Possibly the best compact classic analogue synth ever made and authentically Moog
The choices Moog made in designing this relatively affordable unit were on the money. The combination of ready-to-use controls, plus 90 patch points, 4 classic oscillators plus LFO and Mod, allow you to recreate virtually all of the classic Moog sounds going back to the late 1960's through to today....

What is your most lusted after piece of gear right now.
Moog Matriarch! I have a Grandmother now and I got it before the Matriarch was announced. I just love the additional features, especially the stereo delay and filters. 4 note Paraphony is also a huge seller for me.

Moog Matriarch Review - Sonic LAB
So, from my point of view, i think the matriarch is a pretty tasty instrument. I you know it is a bit luxurious, but you've got to bear in mind.
