It has a nice beefy sound, but still has that bounce that makes it great for dance tracks.  The sequencer is one of its high points, as well as the fact that it has midi in/out, audio in/ out, and  can run off of batteries (making it one of the best portable synths out there).

If you're a bass player, it's E to E key bed range is very appreciated, and the slim keys are actually pretty nice.  (Those are not mini keys as these keys are the normal length, just skinnier)

 The micro freak nails, the interface to the t, striking a great balance between ease of use and complexity, hands-on control and a clever layout on the available front panel real estate programming new sounds is easy and it encourages experimentation and it's just plain good old fun. The mod matrix makes broughting a breeze, and newcomers to synthesizers will also benefit from it that they can see how their favorite presets are set up, and you can just start taking notes from them when you start diving in. So it's basically like a little tutorial in the box. It'S also great for live performance as you get easy access to its most important parameters, as well as the benefit from the eccentric little keyboard and its polyphonic aftertouch number three immutable instrument as that for a magic trick

Sonic LAB - Arturia MicroFreak Hybrid Synthesizer Review

 So, after watching tons of Youtube videos, I decided on the Arturia Microfreak...and I'm glad I did! It has a LOT of sound design potential, and using the Mod Matrix is a joy

The capacitance keyboard is odd, but just adds to the quirky expressiveness of the instrument

 in fact, the entire unit has a much cheaper feel than the brute series. I would have paid another $100 to have it with a higher build quality.  Now on to the good: the sounds are incredible. So much better than the Korg mini/monologue

 It'S good enough for me to use, but i definitely can see some people having that opinion. In my opinion, if korg was going to keep the same price tag, i do wish they kind of gutted the keys and spent more on the knobs and sliders and invested a little bit more into a better screen and just leave the keys off the machine when It comes down to the sound engine. Most of it is very impressive and really intuitive, i would say the weakest part of the whole entire machine is by far the filters. I actually had a talk with two friends on this topic

 Now, when it comes down to the op 6, it's a great machine, i love it. It can do amazing. Morphing sounds, which is by far my favorite aspect of the machine and the reason why i bought it create this kind of like digital madness. I i just love it personally but, as i stated there are some weak points and considerations

99 range, really puts it into a price tag, competitive nature with some heavy hitting synths pierre amy and drone actually brought up the topic that the hydra sent. The desktop is only two hundred dollars more than the korgob six, and the build on that machine is much more of a quality, as i was speaking of, and the sound engine is something that could very much appeal to a lot of people. So, in my opinion, cork has priced themselves really high in the market and put themselves against some really big hitters, the closer you get to things when it comes to like the hydra, the price tag you have to start competing with them and i do feel korg's Options with the off-six might have a few people gravitate towards the hydrosyn me, i'm 100 happy with the op 6. I mean i love it

Korg OPsix Review & Beginner Tutorial // Easy to use FM synthesizer!

Ok so I have had the same issue in windows 10 with an Opsix for 2 week's, finally figured it out this afternoon as in "Device Manager" theres a rdnis driver with yellow apostraphy and no matter how many times I tried the Korg usb drivers they just didnt work so instead of bashing my head against the wall went into to choose driver network adapters / microsoft and finally USBRNDIS driver and bingo up pops my Opsix in devices. Not sure if this is the same on Windows 8 but worth a try right..
