Behringer Deepmind 12 Review | DailyAnalog
Summary. The Deepmind 12 is a powerful polyphonic synthesizer that lets you immerse yourself into the sound-making process with range and exploration. The product design was always going to be impressive in depth when the inspiration comes from big-name synths like the Prophet 6 and OB-6

I once jokingly told my gf that if anyone ever got me a Deepmind 12 I'd marry them... well, time to go ring shopping.
My girlfriend (who by the way, is the best girlfriend in the existence of girlfriends; all others may go home now) got me a Behringer Deepmind 12 for my birthday. After gushing about how cool this synth is, I once told her "If anyone ever bought me that, I'd definitely marry them," not ever honestly expecting to receive it from her. It's quite beautiful sounding, I've really been enjoying just listening to all the presets over the past few days, lol.
Forget the "Prologue", "JD-XA", and Moog "House Downpayment"!
It seems that now everything is trying to hop onto the polyphonic analog bandwagon. Everything from the Mini/Pro Logues to the Roland JD-XA to the ultra expensive Moog "whatever". Some are decent (Novation Peak), but most are wannabees of the Jupiters, Junos, Monopolys, and Oberheims of years past b...

I've currently got a Deepmind 12 which is actually a pretty great and versatile synth. However, the most versatile and crazy tone shaping is done in the menu and I personally can't stand menu diving which ironically took me getting the DM12 to realize. I don't really have a price range here and I don't care about analog vs digital right now, but let's cap it off at $2,000 max, limiting me to a Matriarch at most.

Sonic LAB: Behringer DeepMind 12 Review
There has also been some concern over the menu diving issue, but with each section having it's own edit button, I didn't find this an issue, and most people who've been presented with the DM12 while it's been here have commented at it's ease of use. It's an impressive machine, there's no doubting it, the designers have stuffed it full of features that should keep most inquisitive synthesists busy. I am impressed

Looking for Poly Synth Suggestions
I have the Deepmind 12 and can definitely say that I would recommend it (I also own the Hydrasynth desktop). The Deepmind can definitely do most things you would want a poly synth to do plus the on board FX are awesome. It sounds absolutely fantastic plus having 12 voices is perfect (still have plenty when you start stacking them). It has a lot of modulation options as well.
High quality super fun synth
Love love love this synth!! As they name implies, it's a deep synth. Lots of capabilities available, make sure to have a look at the various instructional Youtubes that are posted on this. Sound quality is top rate, I think the build quality is equally good. Amazing range of sonic goodness that this...

Behringer Deepmind 12 (looks a bit intense though). Modor NF-1. DSI Prophet 08 (again, looks like it does maybe too much).
Solid Build, Inspirational, Throw(back)forward
Maybe it's that I used to play a Korg Polysix, a Juno 106, a Korg Poly Ensemble (anyone remember those?) back in the day and this has me nostalgic for that time, but I REALLY enjoy playing this thing. And, I'll be honest, I no longer want the 106 back (well, maybe, a bit.). Excellent combination of ...
