Exploring Analogue Subtractive Synthesis With The Moog Mother-32
Confused about subtractive synthesis? We use the Moog Mother-32 to explain oscillators, filters, and envelopes, plus take things to the next level with the patchbay. For the beginner, analogue subtractive synthesis can be a little overwhelming. All those knobs and sliders, and the arcane terminology...

My current setup is digitakt, digitone, Moog Grandmother, Mother 32, subharmonicon, and some fx pedals all ran into a 4 input audio interface that is then ran into an MPC One. It's a great little setup and I'm absolutely not capable of using it to it's fullest but I'm struggling with getting out of 4 bar loops. It just hard to visualize song structure with all the different gear having their own sequencing and tracks and whatnot. I can't get past having separate sequences as parts to a song.
I'd recommend this to anyone as a stand alone synth
This thing is a blast. I'd recommend this to anyone as a stand alone synth, but also as a great way to get into Eurorack for cheap. It provides a great base set of tools for any eurorack setup - midi/CV converter, LFO, VCO, VCF, EG, VCA, etc.

Both up $200 (and grandmother originally sold for $899 before the price increase last year). Looks like the Subsequent 25 is now at $1000 (I believe it started at $800 or $900). Mother 32 and DFAM are now at $700 (up $50 from the 2020 price and up $150 from the launch price, I believe). Not all sites are consistent with the price increase though, but when there is an increase it's at the same price.

Moog Mother 32 Review (The Best Standalone Synth?)
The great thing about these three is how well they integrate together and give the feel and functionality of a bigger modular system, without costing the full modular price tag.

What is everything I need to get started with modular?
I started with the Moog Model 15 iPad app to learn how modular stuff worked first before I had to start deciding which modules to purchase. VCV Rack is another great route to go. If you really just can't handle going the software route (which is understandable! It doesn't feel like a playable instrument in the way hardware does) I'd say get something semi-modular like the Make Noise 0-coast or the Mother-32.
Fun, great sound, awesome sequencer - your best first analog or semi modular!
Okay, I have been hesitant to buy this since day one. Now I feel stupid for waiting so long. I already own an 0-Coast and thought this would be simple and limited in comparison. Wrong again! There are so many things I like about this. Manual is beautiful, but could use a little work in some areas. S...

Moog Mother 32 Review
So, overall, I have to say, I think, the mother 32, it's actually a pretty good buy. If you want to get into that kind of modular world with a self-contained unit, maybe build from there. You don't want to get into the expense of a case just yet

Behringer Pro-16 Synthesizer Sneak Preview
Why don't they just design new synths?? behringer is so stupid. they have the resources to invest the RnD into new and interesting synth designs, and instead they make these lame and tasteless synth ripoffs. It's even worse when they ripoff synths and gear that is still in production (ilke the arturia keystep or the moog mother-32).
This is my first Moog synth and it is everything ...
This is my first Moog synth and it is everything I hoped it would be. The Moog tone is second to none. I can't wait to get 2 more!
