Thoughts on Zvex Fuzz Factory vs Zvex Mastotron ? I just can't decide which to get.

I prefer the Mastotron a whole lot more. Way more usable and the sub octaves are amazing.

The Fuzz Factory very easily goes into a feedback noisy mess and unless you have the Fat Fuzz Factory they have an extreme lack of bass and body to me.

A mixed bag. Ended up returning it.

This pedal is the ultimate in love/hate relationships. -LOW output volume -lots of "bad" settings -not so many great settings. I ultimately sent it back. My biggest issue is the fuzz/distortion has that classic "pedal" sound that I can't stand. To me, the fuzz sounds like a can of marbles.

So, I traded for a Zvex Mastotron a few days ago and it’s been really cool. I love love fuzz but I haven’t tried anything from Zvex yet. I tried it with my guitar and it sounds spitty and cool. Fantastic for some lead stuff.

Amazing little fuzz box! Monster Sound!

I also own the Fat Fuzz Factory... Which in my opinion is one of the ebet modern fuzz pedals available.... I thought buyig s pedal would be redundant since I can get msot of the masteoton tones with the fat fuzz facotry... But without all the whacky, self oscillating, screeching and farting sounds.....

Cannot find a fuzz that's right for me, really need some guidance!

I enjoy my ZVEX Mastotron pedal. I think originally bought because people called it a more tame Fuzz Factory. I mostly use it to fatten up my Rat. But on it's own I can get classic fuzz tones along with very scratchy Velcro sounds.
