 You can play chords with it and then they don't get lost. It's not super muddy. I like that you can just play big open chords and they're thick and I feel like they wouldn't stand out in a mix but they would definitely fill the mix like if you're looking for something just thick and fuzzy this is this is the one that I would pick out of out of the triangle the original Big Muff the op-amp this is the out of the four that we've tried this is the one that I would pick. Yeah that's amazing

 There's a lot of acclaim between the behind the original Russian Big Muff and I believe it's called that because the part of the internals come are Russian made kind of like Russian tubes are really popular and Chinese tubes are popular like Ruby tubes uses a couple of different types of tubes but anyway I'm gonna throw myself off. I was really impressed from the moment we turned it on from playing through it felt really good. It was very inspiring to play through. I like the clarity

 It's a definite keeper and has immediately replaced my other big muff, which now just sounds dark and muffled in comparison. If there were 6 stars I'd have given it 6. Well pleased.

I never really write reviews, but this time I felt I had to. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and like most guitarists have been searching for the sound inside my head. This time I believe I've found it. I've tried numerous other muff, fuzz, overdrive and distortion pedals and although many are very good, I have never come across a pedal that has such clarity and bite and warmth as this one

 I mostly use it to fatten up my Rat. But on it's own I can get classic fuzz tones along with very scratchy Velcro sounds.

I've posted a few times about fuzzes and I apologize for doing it again, but I just cannot find the right fuzz. I owned a fuzz factory for years and sold it, which I'm now starting to kind of regret. I liked it a lot, but I wanted something that did smooth vintage stuff on top of that. I've sort of realized there isn't really a pedal that does BOTH smooth vintage fuzz and fuzz factory-sounding stuff. I had a Spaceman Gemini IV that I didn't love, just not enough control over the tone. I got an OBNE Alpha Haunt and it has a ton of control but it's too gated even with the gate fully off. Now I'm not sure if I should buy two pedals or what. I've been reading about fuzzes nonstop, testing stuff at stores and I just wanna find the right pedal(s) for me! I like Stooges, My Bloody Valentine, 60's psych, Neil Young, Funkadelic, Edwyn Collins "Girl Like You" tone especially. Thanks y'all for the help!

Cannot find a fuzz that's right for me, really need some guidance!

 We looked at originally the Line 6, or the Digitech-based SynthWall, and then we went over the Line 6 FM4 Filter Modeler. Both pedals have a purpose, both pedals can be good, and both pedals can be really awful as well. This time, we're going to go over a pedal that is a little bit more rare, it's a little bit more difficult to get a really good sound out of, but when you do, it's worth it. It's on the pay scale, I'll give it two out of five for cost, because it is a little bit up there for a one-trick pony, but I'll tell you, this one-trick pony is pretty good

 So with that, you know that this pedal is not a very clean sounding fuzz. It just isn't. It's designed to be nasty. That being said, it is a master at being a gated fuzz and it plays well with both active and passive basses and it's a cheap alternative to the Woolly Mammoth if you don't have a Woolly Mammoth and you still have a passive bass, it's a cheap alternative and you can get really good sounds out of this pedal

 So to start out, we're going to turn these knobs down. Okay, so now we just got volume, the subs at zero, where I had it. So we've got our pedal, everything's down. Well, let's turn some tone up, we want to get some tone out of this
