 It'S always the third one right you're, basically opening up the amplitude for the oscillator level. So if the oscillator is down like these are now you're only gon na hear the first one, because that's the only one that has the volume up, but if I turn up oscillator 2. 1. 2

 So, like anything else, you go to a sign once you're there. What do you want to assign that track to you holding down the track? Select if it's there, you just wiggle this boom it's assigned. This is so dope. Press play old record now turn this and I'm assigning this knob, which technically has no effect right now, because it's only for the state variable over there so check this out

 But for this purpose we'll bring that back down so effects. One will do you bounce back, Dooley, BBD, bucket brigade and not bounce back. What am I talking about to it cold time? Don'T need to sink it. So just have this crazy, sound, [, Music, ], [, Music, ] raw, sound, no effects, [ Music, ], [, Music, ] and just this sound alone is so fun to use

 Let'S see yeah filters open, but oscillator has a slop of 5 just a little bit just a tiny little bit right same with the oscillators here, oscillator 2. You go here a little bit of slop here, a little bit of slop. It'S little things like that when using a synthesizer that make it so playable, because when you go to a default patch, it just sounds [, Music ]. It just sounds good it just by default, sounds good, even weird things like this up, one octave down two octaves, that's again, weird little miscellaneous parameters that are by default, set in the default patch

Pro 3 Top Features // Most Fun Synth Ever?

Some background – I've been a musician for about 13 years. I play piano and guitar. I have my first album releasing next month, which I produced and mixed myself. I'm pretty familiar with this whole music thing, however I'm pretty new to synths. I've used them only in the form of plugins and mostly just sticking to presets and maybe turning a knob here or there.

I'm working on getting to know different types of synthesizers and how to control them by playing with plugin versions on a midi keyboard – specifically any that model real synths. Because I want to get myself a hardware synthesizer and I want to gain an understanding of what's doable in the affordable range. (there's a lot you can do in the box that just isn't doable without owning a whole lot of hardware)

But as I investigate the world of synths in a free way I am also researching to figure out what hardware synth I should eventually purchase to start.

**Could you guys recommend any great synths to start off with that aren't too expensive?**   
Below $1000 for sure, but below $500 would be ideal. Because I can tell you synth is not going to be my MAIN instrument, but an expansion of my toolkit.

I'm totally okay with Digital/modelling. However I find myself shying away from Monosynths. As a piano player, I may be biased against having to stick to one note at a time.

**Anyone here use monosynths? How do you use them? What advanatages do they have over polysynths?**

Best beginner synth in 2021

 So, let's go to, let me know obviously cut off and stuff like that. Now, if you, if you need a dual modulation of the cutoff, you could do that here. Here is actually, let's assign this to an LFO just so you can hear what this variable state filter can do. So now, I'm modulating with an LFO that state variable filter

 Alright, let's adjust the rates over here. So if I hit a LFO, 1, 2 or 3, I have control over a bunch of stuff here. So [, Music ] we'll go ahead and think we have a bunch of different shapes here, but we want triangle and we'll just turn this down. This will make a different rate than this, so now that we've adjusted these, we have the LFOs doing the work on making this an interesting thing: [, Music, ]

Why I Love the Sequential Pro 3

Current setup: Ocktatrack, Cobalt 8x, Korg Wavestate, Pedal Patchbay, Dog.

 They have a wave that moves between triangle through two square and a shape mod and then the third oscillator is a wave tables. Digital oscillator, which has 32 wave shapes, including some just regular analog ones. Then we move across to the next part, and this is the 3-way filter. This has got three filter circuits in it

 So if I just quickly do that, I'm just going to go source and I'm going to say oscillator two and I'm going to go to destination, which is oscillator one I'll, have the advance [ Music ]. So we can get. You know all of that kind of ring board /fm bald and we can route the oscillators into other parameters as well. So there's tons of audio rate model model modulation so now I'll just do another basic patch and we'll come down, listen to the 4-pole OTA

 Then we have the third oscillator, which is a digital oscillator and basically the same saw super saw, trying on sign and then 32 wave shapes as far as we know, there's no way to add your own, but who knows maybe that's a possibility, but I can't really Comment on that, the thing about these oscillators is they're also in cabal, but they will also or can be routed into each other. So we can have audio rate mod routing one suit, one signal into the other and the varying the shape and the shape mod really makes a difference. So if I just quickly do that, I'm just going to go source and I'm going to say oscillator two and I'm going to go to destination, which is oscillator one I'll, have the advance [ Music ]. So we can get

 It'S crispy as you like I'll, take the drive down and then we'll just go: filter, micellar, misc miscellaneous and you see we've got ladder, resume resident compensation. So so far now you could hear the residents just vanish it that makes the base disappear, like you would expect, but turning it back on again means it's quite not quite so pronounced so nice to see that alright third filter type is through pole OTA, which is Actually, it actually works quite well in paraffin it mode, so we can actually go into para frolic mode. Let'S just get three oscillators in make them all to be sawtooth, [, Music, ] and it's nice about this is we can actually modulate this low-pass state? The state variable state nice to come back to single okay. So a couple of things about the filters: it's only one at a time there's no series or parallel
