Hoover ONEPWR HEPA+ Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Needing advise for a purchase. Here you see my three dogs. I need a vacuum that can handle the amount of hair they shed. It’s a lot. A lot of dog hair.

 The good: quiet and the filters do a good job, no dust smell. The bad: slow to adjust between rug and bare floor; feels sluggish & heavy; hard to maneuver around furniture or even back and forth over different surfaces; and the "check brush roller" light kept coming on which was super annoying in a brand new machine. My advice: Do not purchase this unless you have tried it out, or it comes with a generous return policy. If you need an air purifier, buy a dedicated air purifier

I bought this on a Saturday after some intense upselling by the local sewing and vacuum store. I exchanged it the following Monday for a Riccar R25P. The good: quiet and the filters do a good job, no dust smell.  And to me, spending £300 on a vacuum cleaner that's not suitable for hard floors, according to the energy label, and won't even clean stairs without having to attach a separate hose, well, it's just not good enough. Sorry Sebo. This is fine as an interim measure to meet the new energy label requirements, but I think a totally new upright is well overdue from your company. I would like to see a Sebo upright with two things

 Now I will never fault Sebo for build quality because their machines are built to last, they started in a commercial environment and they make their domestic cleaners to the same high standard. So what I'm going to be unboxing and assembling today will be a quality vacuum cleaner, but is it good for the cleaning needs of 2018? Well my future demo will hopefully find that out, but anyway let's get it out of the box starting with the handle, so it comes with a 10 metre cable which is starting to become pretty standard with vacuum cleaners, it's really now I think the bare minimum you need with a vacuum, even some come with 12 or 13 metre cables, even if you have a small home it just saves you having to unplug and plug in each time you move to a different room. So there we go, that's the handle and it incorporates a handy thumb operated on off switch. Next out of the bag we have the wand, which also incorporates a stretch hose

 Whether it performs better we'll have to wait and see. So here is the new head, now Sebo have introduced this model to correspond with the latest EU energy ratings, so it is now a lower wattage motor I believe, I'll check but I believe this is an 890 watt motor, the maximum allowable wattage is 900 watts now for vacuum cleaners sold in the EU. It's also increased filtration, now this gets an A rating for dust emission so that is a big improvement on previous models. The head has been slightly changed and they've incorporated a deeper furniture guard to help prevent the machine from getting scuffed during use and this is at the back, this is where the filter is located now on this machine and they've also changed the foot pedal, now it's mainly plastic where it used to have a metal component, they've changed it there

I’m looking for a vacuum that can handle all of my floor types, handle dog hair/mess, and be relatively easy to clean out with the filters and bags.

I went to a local vacuum store with a Sebo Felix in mind. The guy there was trying to sell me on the Riccar. Never heard of them before. 

Given how I described my living situation, what would be the best vacuum for me? Even if it’s not one of the ones in my title.

RICCAR 25 series delux, Sebo automatic x4, or Sebo Felix?

My wife and I just bought a new 2021 X7. Very nice vacuum but we have to return it back to the deal. We have a golden retriever and the hair will blow away before the vacuum can suck it up. The clean air exhaust on this new vacuum shots forward pushing the hair

Not good for long hair dogs.

At the same time they had a riccar r40p in stock and didn't have any sebo x7s only a floor model. I was impressed by the sebo in particular I was impressed they use machine screws that go into brass nuts throughout per their repair/sales person.

I bought my Sebo 7 years ago. This is the absolute BEST vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. My family consists of Basset Hounds and cats, needless to say there's an overabundance of fur everywhere. No problem for this vacuum

Budget wise, if it's quality and will last for years I'm actually open to anything. It's a house gift so a couple of us are going in together for it.

Our home is mostly carpet apart from kitchens and bathrooms (but we never use the vaccum for cleaning those). The issue we've faced is each room has different kind of carpet. Living room is what I would call standard, the baby's room has "cashmere carpet" (longer and hard to push some vaccums through), downstairs has very short carpet.

Looking for a lifetime vaccum!

I love the durability and ease of servicing of Sebos and for wall to wall carpet with allergies I'd recommend the Sebo X7 or Sebo K3 with the hepa filters added. What country are you in? Can you provide any websites of stores in your market?.

About half a year ago, I made a post on here and got some great advice asking for a powerful vacuum for wall to wall carpet in my parent's one floor house and a smaller cordless option for my apartment.

I ended up buying a Miele C3 Cat and Dog with the Turboteq brush in lieu of the power head as our country doesn't have the electric one for sale. If it did, I would have gone with that.

Anyway, my parents love the C3 for their low-medium wall to wall carpet so much that it now lives at their place almost permanently. Mum especially is thankful that it is easier to push around than their straight suction older vacuum.

So I started looking for something for my apartment that would deal with wall to wall low-medium pile carpet and be great for allergy sufferers since my GF is allergic to my French Bulldog so I have to stay on top of cleaning. 

The Felix was recommended to me by /u/vacuumsaregreat  and I was thinking of going with that over a cordless bagless stick (since with the charging dock they pretty much share the same footprint for storage).

However, from that review I linked above, the Felix was a pretty subpar performer especially [at around the 2:50 mark of this video](https://youtu.be/sIW126pE1kI?t=170) which is the most shocking to see given all the marketing around Sebo's filtration and sealed systems for allergy sufferers. 

So it's got me thinking if I should just re-buy the Miele C3 with Turboteq for my apartment over the Felix given the C3 is HEPA and I know from use, doesn't 'vent' out like the Felix did in that. When comparing agitation, the 2000 watt motor of the C3 with the Turboteq should balance out against the 1100 watt motor plus the 175 watt powerhead of the Felix..

Any thoughts?
