Do NOT buy this vacuum if you have carpet or do not have aspirations of extreme fitness.
The media could not be loaded. I hate this vacuum so much I actually get anxiety when I need to use it. It suctions itself so tightly to the carpet and the "self-adjusting" head does not allow you to change the level, so the result is an extreme cardio workout with every use. Don't get me wrong, I l...

Before this, I had a really clunky corded stand up vacuum. It cleaned just fine, but it was so heavy and clunky that it was difficult to get the stairs and it was just generally a pain to lug it from room to room. The stick vacuum is amaaaazing! I can clean the floors in my entire apartment in like 10-15 minutes.
Dyson Ball Animal 2
The Dyson Ball Animal 2 is a corded upright vacuum. It delivers exceptional overall performance on many surface types, from bare floors to high-pile carpet. It does a fantastic job of cleaning pet hair and sucks up large and small debris without difficulty

Does the job
Only into the second week, but enough to write a preliminary review. This is a replacement for an older original Dyson Vacuum. That vacuum lasted for a long time and has been a champ but it's had just enough boo boos that I was down to holding the canister on with a large rubber band...still worked ...

Dyson Ball Animal 2 Review
Number two: if you're looking for great cleaning performance, the Dyson Ball animal - scored nearly flawlessly in our cleaning tests, and number three, if you don't mind the heavier upright design, the animal, too, is a hefty machine, and although the ball does help improve maneuverability, it's still heavier than most and takes some effort to move around the room. That being said, this is still the best upright vacuum cleaner we've tested to date. Yes, it's heavy

No, That Shark ISN'T better than this Dyson.
After reading so many websites and customer reviews, I decided to order BOTH the Shark TruePet rotator and the Dyson Animal ball 2. I can tell you right now, in TLDR fashion that this thing is much better than anything Shark can provide. However, after being so discouraged by all the so called "infl...

Does not work on carpet
Works too good for carpet, sucks itself to the carpet and wont move. Runs well on hardwood and tile. Since it does not have a height adjustment, as soon as you hit carpet it just sticks. It becomes very hard to push and the plastic handle feels as though its going to snap. On carpet the beater bar c...

I have 1000 sqft of carpet and 1000 sqft of tile that I broom. We have 5 giant dogs. I got the Dyson Animal upright vacuum because I thought that it would keep up with all of the dirt and pet hair but I kept ending up with suction issues and clogs and electrical issues. A couple trips to the vacuum repair shop later and it had a new vacuum head from a third party that was .... horrendous....

Cleans Better Than I Thought Possible
This is a difficult rating for me. I am frankly astounded by the cleaning power of this vacuum cleaner. I’ve never seen anything come even close to it. It makes my previous cleaner look like it has asthma and a leaky hose to boot. Here’s my rating broken down by category. Performance As I said in th...

Not as good as Dyson DC50
This is supposed to be an evolution on the first animal upright. I used a DC50 for many years. The handle and wand were collapsible which made it convenient. Also, it had onboard storage for two tools. This one does not have onboard storage and the wand is a fixed length. This makes it highly inconv...
