If you take the hose off and try to vacuum more than a foot or two away from the body the vacuum will fall over because the body is so light and the hose so stiff. And for all I read about the ease of use of the Dyson Ball, I found it more hype than anything. This is just another vacuum. I don't think you would find much difference in performance between this and mid line Hoover Wind Tunnels that sell for half the price and have better design and functionality

We feel that using the vacuum is very easy on your back compared to our experience with upright units. The hose in this model with the pivoting head makes it easy and less burdensome, since you don't have to worry about the hose getting twisted up on you. Switching attachments is also very quick and easy, and the different mechanisms feel like the rest of the unit, well made and durable.

My advice: Do not purchase this unless you have tried it out, or it comes with a generous return policy. If you need an air purifier, buy a dedicated air purifier.

Based on your needs, I don't think the X7 or G5 are the SEBO models you're looking for. I've owned the X2 (the X7's predecessor) for almost a decade, and it's basically a carpet only machine that can clean non-delicate floors surprisingly well in a pinch. The design philosophy behind the Automatic X models was to make a durable commercial upright that's as intuitive and simple to use/maintain as possible, so this means that you don't get stuff like a manual height adjustment or brushroll shutoff.

Ours are the Dyson Ball multifloor, upright, corded. Almost 3 years later and they still having the same amazing suction they did on day one, bagless, lightweight, well-designed, and not outrageously expense at around $300.

We have a golden retriever and the hair will blow away before the vacuum can suck it up. The clean air exhaust on this new vacuum shots forward pushing the hair. Bad design for 2021 if you own a pet with longer hair.

Dyson simply choked, wife could not get the thing to move! I manfully jumped in,,,, holy hot cakes batman, it was like trying to push an old Ford. Beater stopped turning, turn it on, ok, Dyson fairly easy to push, then the bar stops again, rinse and repeat. Finally gave up, must be something wrong. Call Dyson support

upright, it's a strong vacuum, extremely durable and repairable, and it has a brushroll that pops out without tools.
