I think drum heads are pure opinion and they are. Some like Remo and others, like myself prefer Evans. These Remo heads don't tune to well and kinda have a cheap sound. Good for beginners but for someone who knows what they are doing WOULD NOT use these. Btw, the coating came off within a month....

I get these cause they are durable 2 ply.. When the top layer breaks you can still go on for a little while. They sound good enough tune easy and the price is right it's cheaper to just go get them at than store than have them delivered to you... there should be a bulk price discount

I have tried all the 14" coated heads for my snare and i just keep coming back to this. I have had issues with evans heads breaking just from tuning them, aquarian are just very expensive and not any better. this head just sounds great everytime.

Buy this if you really want a heavy damped sound. It was too much for me in its "thump thump". I think for heavy hitters. But it does have a nice darkish lowish tone.
