 I do a little film for you guys now. The problem with doing the filming indoors is that all the sounds that you're going to be hearing are part of the room and in most cases, is going to be the windows rattling or or something hitting the wall. Anything like that, but you'll have to rely on me to tell you if i'm hearing resonance coming from the enclosure or pork chop noise that might be annoying, and with that said, let's kick this test off, i'm using room, eq wizard i've got the frequency set to 120 hertz and i put the volume at a decent volume, but not too loud as to hurt my ears, even when i'm wearing hearing protection. So, let's kick this [ Music, ] off i'd, say we're good, at least until 40 hertz, and i can take my hearing protection off now

 Okay. What i'm hearing is when i get to about 28 27 hertz. That'S when i can hear the port start to take over more uh when you get below that below 25 hertz. That'S when the port is really kind of doing its thing around there

 You can just sit in your main listening position and control your app and make adjustments on the fly and understand how it's going to relate to your seated position. Rather than doing it all from the amplifier, then run it back to your seat and hoping that that solution works well, as you can see, the subwoofer enclosure has not only one but two cross braces the front. One is a magnet structure, support which i personally really like. I think that's a great added touch and then the second one is probably your standard, structural rigidity, cross brace and on the side walls

 I have no problem recommending it certainly an option if you're looking for one in this price range, it has a lot of great output, although it doesn't quite reach the same levels as the monolith 12. It does have the bluetooth app, which i really like. I think it's great. The three extra bands of peq is a really nice thing to have, especially if you're somebody who doesn't already have dsp

SVS PB-2000 Pro 12 inch Subwoofer Review

0dB's and the sub itself was on -10dB's. Cranked the levels up and it was louder, just not that chest hitting type of bass.  After some time, I decided to play around with the app and the sub EQ and that's what made the sub thump. Now I started to feel the bass in my chest

This is my first SVS product and I have been on the fence about getting this sub due to where I would be placing it, under my projector screen which would mean I'd have to lay the sub on it's side because it's too tall. Paired with a Pioneer Elite AVR and Klipsch speakers, it sounds really good one I played around with the app. I like the MCACC set everything up and at first, I was really impressed. MCACC put the sub on -8

  I believe the amp is a little bit gimmicky, that's why I rated it 3 our of 5 stars. This is a 12" 550watt sub, out of the box this thing should want to bring your house down.  Overall, I am really happy with it but I think out of the box it should be loaded with it's full potential and not milked down to force you to mess with the app.

Massive sound once set up is right

 $3-400 on a center speaker and another $7-800 on left and rights. That will put me around $2000-2300 and should be a good starting system.

Target has a Monolith 12 on sale for $699, $664 with red card which appears to perform just as good as the SVS PB-2000 I was interested in. This seems like a good deal to pull the trigger or would you wait for a SVS sale?

I currently have 0 equipment, a dedicated home theater room (no natural light, painted dark navy) and already pre-wired for a 7.1 system and ceiling projector. My initial budget is about $6-7k all in. The way I’m thinking about is the following:</p>

I’m a fan of how GoldenEar speakers look so I’d like to at least get those for my front R, L, and C speakers. I’m thinking about a 7.1 Denon or any other reputable receiver manufacturer that goes on sale in the coming months. Everything else, I’ve just been browsing at this point and don’t really have any strong feelings towards.</p>

Before you purchase any SVS Sub know the size of your room, because the size of your room and the size of your sub definitely matters, In order to get the quality sound that you're looking for

 Yes that's a steep price step-up from the PB-2000 but the 2000 is just not worth spending the 800 dollars in the first place.  Sorry to say but the 2000 range is like an unhappy mid point and compromise: too weak for a big, open floor and open ceiling living room, and too much for a small bed room. I recognize other people have positive experience with the PB-2000 but have they tried the 3000 or 4000 range?  The app functionality is great, and I applaud SVS for including it in its full range of subs now, but note that to get the most out of it, you have to have an amp/pre-amp/AV unit that has its own sub functionality.

The PB-2000 Pro may be a solid improvement over its non-pro predecessor, but I returned this within days. I audited the unit next to a SB-1000, which is much weaker but adequate for small rooms, and a PB-3000 which knocks the PB-2000 out of the water in every department, sound quality, volume, punch, responsiveness. Yes that's a steep price step-up from the PB-2000 but the 2000 is just not worth spending the 800 dollars in the first place. Based on the reviews I thought this would be a good add-on lows to my Bose S1 Pro without needing additional equipment to push more gain. The SVS SB-1000 I received was either defective or the volume was way too low even at max volume. I then decided to try the Monoprice 12” 400W RMS and was blown away on how loud and nice the Monoprice sub sounds, and it cost a third of the SVS SB-1000 sub. The SVS SB-1000 does look nicer and smaller, but it didn’t give me that thump in the chest like the Monoprice

Didn’t meet my expectation

The sound was really immersive. Very clear and bass was certainly there when music allowed for it.

 At first, I wasn’t used to the detail with this nice of a sub. Also, it wasn’t until I opened the EQ in the app and fixed my Denon Audyssey (that was at -9db). now this thing is perfect and thinking about adding a dual down the line. The app is essential for unlocking this sub’s power
