Pixel response times aren’t great, and things tend to smear when doing something quickly. Additionally, my monitor had a bright spot on the bottom center of the monitor. It’s a green stuck pixel. Nixeus has a horrible policy with stuck/dead pixels (you need 7 to qualify for any warranty service)

However, the monitor seems to have a bug on manage resolution between the two. Whenever I reconnect my laptop, it will set the resolution from 1440p (21:9) to a stretched 1080 (16:9). I found the fix is to change DP 1.2 to 1

\-It has really bad viewing angles and the typical "VA cone" and gamma shift. This is visible in many peoples pictures of the monitor on their desk (dark circle in center). You have to sit far enough away to make it work.

Unfortunately, the viewing angles aren't good, so sharing the screen with your co-workers or co-op gaming won't be ideal. On the upside, the 1440p resolution delivers a crisp and clear image.

The viewing angle and appearance of the screen floating above the background indicates something specific about the panel that might be the cause for pixels dying. The 3D effect makes the dead pixel even more pronounced that 1 dead pixel in 8+m pixels (probably more since each pixel has subpixels) what you seen when a pixel is dead is the dead pixel and the 3d shadow on the backlight layer, so the dead pixel draws more attention to itself than it would on an IPS panel.

The Nixie is NX. Edg 34s sits in the middle of the pack, so even among vias, it's far from the worst on average, with some panels delivering 8 millise...

But for strict PC productivity and gaming, there are probably better ultra wide options. On the other hand if you're limited to a strict budget and can get this in the 600 range it is hard to beat for a big screen experience if that is what you want. I definitely would not go any bigger though in 16:9 for a desk.

Building my wife and I identical new PCs and we wanted to step up from our aging 1080p 16:9 monitors. I decided to give this a try and very glad I did. Paired with our Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 XT cards, this monitor has a great picture quality and super smooth gameplay with Freesync and refresh up to 144hz. I wasn't sure about making the move to ultrawide, but I don't think i can ever go back to gaming on 16:9 after experiencing this
