The 5 Best G-SYNC Monitors - Spring 2022
If you want something a bit cheaper than the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM, check out the Dell Alienware AW2721D instead. It's a very similar monitor to the ASUS, but it has much worse reflection handling and a slower 60Hz response time, so it's not as versatile. It delivers an incredible gaming experience...

Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor (AW2721D) Review
If you're choosing between the two, the Alienware is the clear winner, and that story repeats itself again and again no matter which 1440p contender we put the Alienware 27 up against. Fast IPS technology has finally come into its own after a shaky start, bridging the gap between monitors that look great and monitors that go fast. It's the best of both worlds, and the many elegant design and engineering decisions found in the AW2721D helps take that tech right over the top

[Monitor] Acer Predator XB273U GXbmiipruzx 27" 1440p 270Hz FreeSync/G-Sync Compatible IPS Gaming Monitor - $629.99 ($699.99 - 10% code Pred10 for free shipping)
I bought this panel last week due to a lot of recommendations from users and Bijan's video (even cancelled my Alienware AW2721D order for it). Unfortunately I ordered it before a lot of people started reporting the image retention error and my monitor was already on the way. I received it yesterday and played with it and was fine until late at night after some warzone games. I opened a chrome tab and saw vertical artifacts and then image retention of the google logo on my desktop wallpaper.
Amazing Potential - Offset by Poor EDID and Firmware!
The AW2721D would EASILY be a FIVE STAR Monitor if it wasn’t for the issues I describe in the negatives, which completely offset the majority of the positives. Positives: + I instantly unpacked and set it up, using a 1080Ti, the first thing I wanted to see, as we always do, the initial light up, bac...

What have I done...
I quickly decided gaming on it was not fun, bar MFSM and found myself using my AW2721D for almost all games as the stretching on either side of the screen (common for 32:9 aspect) was annoying. Switched to the AW3821DW, as my main monitor and since then I have used it a lot more for gaming & the extra vertical space is big for me. Don't get me wrong the G9 is awesome and on paper its the best monitor of all time and im sure you will love it as I did, but just bare all the above in mind.
Alienware AW2721D Review - Testing Shroud's Monitor
When we throw one of the fastest ips monitors into the mix, it becomes pretty clear how good the alienware actually performs. Now the dell also uses a nano ips panel by lg, but the older one that has a lower refresh rate. The impressive performance of the aw2721d shows that it was a good idea to bump that up to 240hz, because when comparing all at 144 hertz, there really isn't a noteworthy difference between the older and newer nano ips anymore

Hands on with the first HDMI 2.1 gaming monitor, the Eve Spectrum
I got my Alienware AW2721D for only £30 more than the reserve price of the Eve monitor with similar specs minus the G-Sync ultimate the Alienware has. That price will go up if you wait until it releases too. The Alienware comes with a 3 year Dell warranty and I am using it right now.

The worst backlight bleed I've ever seen.
To make this review short and sweet this is by far the worst backlight bleed I've ever seen on a panel ever. They didn't miss a corner. The 240hz is smooth and you can competitively play at QHD resolution but the backlight bleed is simply a no go for me. This will be going right back in the box and ...
