I asked to be updated when one was available (never updated me). I contact amazon back because the display is now dying really bad. After a while, they FINALLY s...

Asus PG278QR vs Asus PG279QR
First off I own both of these monitors. Second, don't be cheap and buy either of these monitors refurbished. My other PG279QR died after a year and half of use so I replaced it with the PG278QR. Learn from my mistake. I have both of these monitors sitting side by side on my desk and honestly I like ...

Acer X27 S - 160Hz 4K IPS with 512-zone Mini LED backlight
Mini LED, 4K, actually good HDR, Quantum-dot, really high refresh rates; all of these are awesome technologies that I'm really glad are included in new top-end monitors, but until the two new ports are included in new monitors to ensure they're future-proof, along with full G-Sync support which I personally think is really important for high-end gaming, all I'm seeing now is a transition period for monitors that I'm honestly not interested in investing in. I'll keep on using my 1440p 144hz monitor for now until my dream monitor comes out. The best thing we got right now is the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG32UQX, but because there is no new G-Sync module yet, it doesn't have HDMI 2.1 or DP 2.0. Plus it's really expensive but I guess that's the price you pay to get top-end enthusiast shit.
Bad:. \- The monitor only comes with a 6' DP cable so I had to purchase a 1080p 360hz certified 10' DP cable to reach my PC. Maybe:. \- I spend $700 on my Asus Rog Swift PG278Q 1440p Gsync monitor back in 2014 and $800 for my AW UltraWide a few years ago.
