Should You Buy It? - Behringer Neutron

 The Neutron uses some 3rd arty app that makes you change the USB driver to be able to connect then you lose MIDI in doing this, you then have to change USB driver back to get the firmware to work and it connect to your system. Also you might get the LFO freeze glitch n the firmware as well. It happened to em and i had to back the firmware down to a lower then step it back up to not get the glitch. Download the USB STM Driver which can be found HERE [[URL REMOVED] Its a real pain in the ass to get this all done

  The truly irksome thing is that they sent the synth back as repaired, which it certainly wasn't, and when I questioned them an what they'd done, they'd just installed the firmware and then tested it with a midi cable into the synth, nearly avoiding the problem of a malfunctioning, poorly written or dead USB driver.  Why update the firmware for USB and then tested it with a midi cable?  So now I'm left with sidelining this synth of the main USB hub and acquiring a function midi to USB converter/host to drive it from one of my USB A equipped keyboards.  So sad.

It breaks my heart to rate this so low...

This is my first analog synthesizer and I'm not looking back. I always lacked is a nice low end in my tracks and always wondered why I cannot get it to sound so good like popular artists whether I use serum, sylenth1 etc. Neutron is amazing at bass sound, very nice and deep! As well as at everything else too. Filter sounds great! You will not be disappointed

 Don't even waste time there. That will come later when you are rich from making killer albums in your headphones.

 The Pro One is great, but not really all that great, it is kind of boring compared to a Moog flagship. I would go with a Moog Voyager or Model D for a mono synth. The SE-1 is great too (Omega 8 or Code 8 is what you really want). Modern DSI synths have buggy (buzzy) effects, and the voices sound miniature

3. Instead of buying 10 additional entry level synths chasing tone that will never be found. Buy a DI and a good Mic preamp channelstrip with EQ and Compression (Master compression and Limiting right away). Focus on a mono recording chain, and work up to a stereo chain for wider mixes once you master recording in Mono, and know how to mix a stereo track

 Then this is doing what the profit six filter does and it tunes it to semitones. So if we just put the filter on on its own, take the oscillators out and then just modulate the cutoff - that's doing a semitone at a time. So you can tune the filter to a well to a frequency, put the keyboard control on okay. So it gets really really nice and bassy, and it's a really smooth filter

 It'S saying it's around around nine kilohertz on the rev three, it's about eight swapping between the two different filters that gets lovely and rumbly as well, and let's just modulate those sort of around fifty percent resonance in a sort of 50 cutoff as well and rev. Three and maybe let's try these with a chord, shall we so we get some more rich harmonics going on foreign. Let'S add some envelope then, to the filter and put the cut off on low envelope open the attack up. So now we shouldn't get any stepping

This has been sitting with me now for well two weeks tomorrow and i've been dying to get my hands on it dying to open it, but i've just not had the time. So i've been really really looking forward to doing this. I could probably get a an xm and a system eight together for the price of this or the cobalt eight, the mini log xd. The system 8 and a couple of other bits and bobs. So it's a big investment, but it's one, i'm hoping i'm not going to regret so all in all, quite beautiful tones complex tones all from a very simple interface and that's why it's a classic and i for one really like more simple tones, make a complex track With lots of simple tones, rather than making a complex tone to make a track different way of doing things, maybe it's because i'm not capable of making really complex tones

course this isn't stereo and we've got amp and  

filter pedal inputs as well and of course it's got 
a beautiful five octave keyboard yeah it's really  

really impressive looking and you know 
i don't know why wood on a synth makes  

it really impressive looking it's a bit like your 
grandmother's sideboard well had a built-in stereo  

or a tv back in the 70s that were made of wood but 
you know there's something really nice about this  

i don't know why i'm so excited by this 
feel like a kid at christmas this is really

and oscillator b and you've got frequency a pulse 
width of a and the filter as the destinations lfo  

we've got three shapes that you can mix the shapes 
got five destinations for the modulation wheel

section is really quite basic compared to sort 
of modern standards and what you get on virtual  

analogs and what you get on either something 
like the the rev 2 or the profit 8 but it is  

all analog and then we go to the oscillators and
