Should You Buy It? - Behringer Neutron

bérenger has clearly put in the time and

 The Neutron uses some 3rd arty app that makes you change the USB driver to be able to connect then you lose MIDI in doing this, you then have to change USB driver back to get the firmware to work and it connect to your system. Also you might get the LFO freeze glitch n the firmware as well. It happened to em and i had to back the firmware down to a lower then step it back up to not get the glitch. Download the USB STM Driver which can be found HERE [[URL REMOVED] Its a real pain in the ass to get this all done

  The truly irksome thing is that they sent the synth back as repaired, which it certainly wasn't, and when I questioned them an what they'd done, they'd just installed the firmware and then tested it with a midi cable into the synth, nearly avoiding the problem of a malfunctioning, poorly written or dead USB driver.  Why update the firmware for USB and then tested it with a midi cable?  So now I'm left with sidelining this synth of the main USB hub and acquiring a function midi to USB converter/host to drive it from one of my USB A equipped keyboards.  So sad.

It breaks my heart to rate this so low...

This is my first analog synthesizer and I'm not looking back. I always lacked is a nice low end in my tracks and always wondered why I cannot get it to sound so good like popular artists whether I use serum, sylenth1 etc. Neutron is amazing at bass sound, very nice and deep! As well as at everything else too. Filter sounds great! You will not be disappointed

That'S how you get these really interesting

Roland Jupiter 8, the greatest polysynth ever?

So today we're going to be looking at the king of all polysense, the jupiter eight and with prices approaching sixteen thousand dollars eighteen thousand dollars. It begs a question: is it worth it?  So today we're going to be looking at the jupiter 8, the fattest poly synth ever made and we're going to be looking at it through the lens of. Is it worth it? Prices have gotten extraordinarily high for these. If you look on reverb or you look on ebay, rarely do you see one for under fifteen thousand dollars? In fact, when i checked this morning, i found two one was for about 16 and one was for eighteen five, so is it worth it? This is a piece of technology from 1981.

 If it gets close enough for you, i i would highly encourage you to take one and there and we're gon na. Do another video kind of talking about the design behind both of these and really what roland was trying to do and which one? What might be right for you if you like the jupiter 8, but don't want to buy a jupiter 8., so i hope you enjoy it. The guy that's going to be demoing is our synth guru randy

Vintage: Worth It? Roland Jupiter-8, the $16k+ King of Analog Poly Synths (vs Jupiter X & System 8)!

The great thing about it is that it's so easy to pull great sounds very quickly. Every control is on the front panel, plus the Jupiter approach to subtractive synthesis is so ingrained and conventional that the whole thing feels instantly familiar.  

If you lift the resonance you instantly lose bottom end from the filter. This is exactly what happens with a real Jupiter 8 - it's an aspect of the filter design - but it's worth being aware of.  

I've used it for bass a few times when playing live and it's great. It doesn't have the deep bass "floor" of a Moog of course, but it has enough to do the job.

I wanna drop $800-ish on a vintage recreation.

Roland Jupiter Xm has RD piano model, can run on batteries and has built-in speakers. And tons of features and sounds.

I've been playing piano for a little over 2 years now and don't plan on stopping. However I am on the hunt for something independent, small and portable that can preferably sit on my lap and can take and play just about anywhere. If I'm not mistaken a synthesizer can fill these roles, and it's possible to play a typical acoustic piano" sound, but to be frank I don't know much of anything about synthesizers so sorry about my lack of info on the subject.

Should I look into a synthesizer?

 So now we have this see how that sound, just got so much fatter straight away. So now we have only four voices but hey [, Music ] such a huge, sound or you can select, for example, solo mode where you use just one voice or you can go unison where all of the voices are dedicated for whatever you play here like see. So fast, I can also play too. So if I play one note, I get all eight oscillators on that one note: if I play two, I get four oscillators four voices per note and so on so forth

 I can say: okay, I want a little bit of modulation for the VCF and this will be assigned to envelope one which is this so so, if I want more that type of sound, I can pull up the resonance. So now I'm deciding how fast that movement is, but if I'm working with the bass, I might want to have also the amplitude to go down like a fast DK kind of sound down the resonance and let's go down there. I might decide to go unison for this one [, Music, ] there you go super fatness and well. You can see why this emphasizes so famous because it's so fat, oh and don't forget if the synthesizer goes out of tune, like all analog synthesizers do on this one

 So let's go poly mode. I want to do a bass, so I'm gon na start working on the VCF straight away. I can say: okay, I want a little bit of modulation for the VCF and this will be assigned to envelope one which is this so so, if I want more that type of sound, I can pull up the resonance.
