I'd definitely recommend an "Asspad" to sit on. Something like a Therm-a-Rest Z-Seat.

Decathlon also has great cheap ones. Weighs near to nothing, cost ~3 euro and GREATLY Improves your comfort sitting around camp/lunch etc.

Cut a z-lite sol or other closed foam cell pad for the dog. Light, simple and won't cost you much. Dog will still be warm. Even in brutal cold a small down blanket or jacket can be thrown over the curled up pup.
