Tama Imperialstar

I am by no means a drum historian and/or connoisseur, but I'm pretty certain that anyone who's gifted a dang Tama Imperialstar is pretty dang lucky. Not top of the end by any means, but I wouldn't say no to one! Have fun!

Looks like a 5 piece Tama Imperialstar drum kit with Meinl HCS cymbals, and some Tama/Pearl hardware, nice!

This is a great beginner kit, with some new heads and a little loving, this kit is ready to rock!

i had to drill a hole myself for the floor tom resonate head tension ring because it was never drilled in one of the tension rod spots but other than that everything came in the 2 boxes and i absolutely love it

Tama Imperialstar are good quality drums. The Meinl cymbals these come with are ok-ish but totally fine for cymbals included in a beginner-ish complete set. Great bang for buck for a new kit.

Cymbals a little on the cheap side but good set for the price point. Those can always be upgraded later on as one gets better at playing them.

I would go used and look for a mid tier drum set like a Pearl Export or like the Tama Imperialstar you mentioned, but it’s hard to go wrong. Most of the bigger name brands like Tama, Pearl, Yamaha, etc. should have well constructed shells and it’s just a matter of getting good heads and good cymbals. Best of luck!.

The Star-Cast mounting system, etc. Now with the STAR line of drums, holy shit pardon my "French" but dayum. If I had a very high income, I'd have TAMA STAR Drums and Yamaha PHX drums (and probably a ton of other ultra-high end fancy-pants drums like Craviotto, Hendrix, etc.).

Awesome kit and it arrived earlier than expected. The black oak wrap looks great and even the stock heads sound good.
