For those prices get a real brand. Ludwig accent or breakbeats, or pearl roadshow. You get the full kit and everything these ones have

Save for a bit longer and get a beginner kit like a Ludwig backbeat or Pearl roadshow. You can even find used versions of these for real cheap. Just keep looking

Just got a practice pad and sticks for father's day and have been loving every part of this drumming journey. I've found a few videos on youtube and even bought my first kit, a Pearl Roadshow for $300 which I pick up tomorrow. I can't tell you how excited I am for this. I don't know why but I'm beyond thrilled.

Complete beginner looking to start drumming.

My first set was a Pearl Roadshow, which is a very highly rated set for people on a budget. It should only set you back about $500, but that’s pretty cheap for a drum set. You could go with a used drum set as well, but it may not come with cymbals and hardware (thrones, stands, pedals, etc). The Roadshow comes with everything you would need to start.

It is hard to put them together because there is no instruction. As a beginner, we need a step by step instruction. We are still assembling them.
