For the price, the Mapex Armory is your best bet, but its really a blue to purple fade in my opinion. There is a small town dealer where I grew up that sent ludwig pink sparkle wrap and they wrapped a classic maple with it. I'm sure they could do that with purple wraps too. I guess it all depends on budget

 So here we go snare wires off 22 by 18 inch kick drum. Feels good low end punch projects forward and back towards me the player so that's very nice. Let's put the snare wires on and do the same thing for you. Again nice beefy and fat

 Again it's called the sonic clear same as the bearing edge. Sonic clear Tom suspension system and check out how much this Tom rotates here. It's quite a bit. Your drum really hangs and resonates freely

 It makes it so the drum head seats on the shell perfectly flat no matter what head you're using. So you get much wider tuning range and just it's really easy to get the drum to pitch and to stay in pitch. So it's a really nice feature. Now to the hardware, the lugs

 Really classy looking Mapex lugs with nice big fat rubber grommets. On the kick drum hoop, the claw hooks. Again nice looking and they're all rubber lined so it protects your drum hoop and you know you'll notice that the ultramarine finish is on the drum hoop as well so that rubber lined claw hook will protect your hoop for a long time. Alright now I want to talk about the Tom suspension system

Any experience with Taye Prox drums?

Ive had this set for a few months now so here is my in depth unbiased review.. Over all a good sounding set but the cymbals are the bottom bottom of the line meinl's which by the way sound like individual little gongs The snare stand well what can I say but its the worst piece of equipment I think I've ever used its so top heavy the thing teeters way too much and don't even try to angle it towards you unless you want to be supporting it between your knees. I've had it with this stand! It's useless

I have a drum set similar to this, the tama swingstar. I'm pretty sure they are the same thing or atleast very similar. And all I needed to do with my drum set was get some evans G2 coated heads for the batter side of on the toms and put some tape on the bottom of the heads (to add muffling) and it sounds amazing. I would recommend this to any drummer that is just getting started or just wants a new drum set

Great Set For The Price

 Although, I did put in a damper pillow in the bass to get the required effect. But this set now sounds nearly as good as my two other sets, a Ludwig and Premier (each of which cost thousands more than I spent on this set). This is an excellent set for beginners right out of the box.

. and with a few upgrades and fine tuning it can make a good working set for smaller to medium sized gigs.

 I am also disappointed in the snare attachment, and higher pitch due to its size (I prefer a larger snare drum with a deeper sound), so I upgraded. And to round it out I acquired to extra boom stands for a splash and china to complete my cymbal ensemble, and a Mapex double bass pedal. Except for the snare, as previously mentioned, I am very satisfied with the Tama shells. The tom toms, floor tom, and bass (once adjusted to my specifications) sound really sharp and warm
