Samsung Galaxy A42

I have a Samsung a42 5g that I bought from Verizon and it has a weird display issue and color-shifting problem. From what I read this is not the only model of Samsung phones that have this issue. I turned off adaptive brightness and that did not fix the issue. What happens is when I am browsing the net or on youtube, the screen will seem to dim down then get bright and fluctuate.

Quit working 2nd day and chat couldn't help me but it started back. Call volume won't stay loud enough even when not touching controls. Message said I had duo Sim cards and it has just one.

Bought an A42 in HK for normal use, never spilled water to it, may splash lightly on the screen during light drizzle. Went down after 7 months afterI bought it. Samsung said it's rusted severely and is not under warranty... I am so shocked as I used it with care and was offered 260usd for repair which later reduced down to 200usd which is still tough to swallow.

It's to early to have an educated response for this phone, I will admit that so far I really like this phone. I am having fun trying all the new stuff. My last phone was an IPHONE 8, huge Upgrade. Looking forward to seeing what this phone can do in the future.

A42 is honestly a shit phone even without the fact that it has no ip rating. Samsung phones w/o ip rating gets water damages from steam from your showers. Like its so ez to get ur shit rusted in your phone. Ive used cheap chinese phones before too and they were also bad in terms of ip rating but... SAMSUNG IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE and does the same shit.

Worked just fine until the last update. Now just freezes and is difficult to get it to work. Battery life is fantastic!

The a42 has a 720p screen with about 266 ppi, it's going to look a bit blurry and have less contrast compared to other phones with better screens.
