There was a post comparing the 34GP83a-B and the AW3423DW monitors, and there is a clear difference in the darker color levels, and no back light bleed, glow, or such (from what I noticed). I've tried both these monitors and ended up keeping the LG. I first bought the Dell S3422DWG as my first ultrawide but coming from a 170Hz IPS 27" monitor, ghosting/black smearing were a bit noticeable. Ended up returning it and getting the LG 34GP83A-B.
