De Buyer Mineral B French Collection 5670P

I got ta say it performed exactly as expected, and that's a good thing further on the debyer website.

I bought this a few days ago. When it arrived, it looked exactly like a shiny new stainless steel frypan and I though I had bought the wrong item, so I checked the label on the brown paper bag that it arrives in. I was expecting a dark carbon steel and much lighter weight pan. First , the good point...

Lovely size; great heft; beautiful design. Discouraged with the process to harden it. Works well nonetheless, even though it looks now rather funny with its myriad colors. Would not buy again (but that's only because I indulged an got an All-Clad and can see the difference).

I am not a trained chef but do enjoy cooking. The bottom of this pan is not flat which causes all the cooking fat/oil to run to the edges away from the food. Maybe that is by design and preferred by some folks but it is a flaw IMHO.

I expected more from this. My daughter has a set of De Buyer pans and she loves them. This pan is too small for most use. Nice and heavy. It will last forever. Needs maintenance.
