Canon Pixma Pro-200

My thoughts, as someone who does a bulk of their media and electronic shopping on, or around, black Friday:. - the Canon Pixma for $19 seems like a good deal for someone like me who needs a wireless printer for the occasional official document or homework assignment that needs to be printed when my niece is over.

My Canon pixma inkjet printer is needing to be replaced. The pages aren't pulled in properly and the printing is misaligned but still not getting fixed after using the auto maintenance settings. What kind of printer is good for a home that'll get maybe 10 prints a month?

Single paper or a few, photo high end or plain it jams everything and occasionally misfeeds and then you get crap printing errors on your expensive paper with their expensive ink. I had the pro-100 for years and did great but this too many misses. Oh and yes I did all the alignments when I installed...

After looking online it seems like the two fan favourites in my price range are the canon pixma pro 200 and the epson ecotank ET-8550. I’m not very tech savvy and most of the information/reviews I could find only talk about photo printing rather than illustration. I also prefer printing with thicker,matt art papers rather than glossy photo papers like all the example prints I’ve seen.

Customer support is virtually nonexistent. Photo printing ap on computer does not transmit paper size or type to the display on the printer. It always shows the "Luster" paper that came as samples with the printer; and letter size seems to be the default even when printing A3 size.

We have a Canon Pixma G6020 we bought before getting a Cricut. It has massive ink tanks and the cost per page is great. Price is about $280 but it comes with enough ink to print thousands of pages which offsets the cost.

Just bought the Canon PIXMA PRO-200. Printed one letter size picture as a test, and already the ink is low. Tried buying all new cartridges and everyone lists them as back order. 5 Star: Quality of print is exceptional. No Star: How can run a business with product like this?

I have been fighting this thing for four days and have yet to get a single correctly colored photo from it. I have checked all of the usual suspects: fresh Canon ink placed in the correct slots; print heads cleaned and aligned; reinstalled the drivers (twice). I tried tweaking the colors in the printer color management setting manually.

So far it's only showed up. Thanks for shipping it in a Box with A FRIKIN PICTURE of it on the side....bought it as a gift people....normally these items come in 2 boxes....but whatever. Element of surprise is lost....better not suck. Update pending.
