1 as I have a real bastard of a living room layout for a wired system of any type. Then I went to a friends house with the Costco Klipsch combo ( Klipsch 5.1.2 and Yamaha TSR 700) and it ruined me

Sound Quality

Hulu and Chromecast issues

I will see if customer service has a fix for these problems or if I got a lemon. But aside from the above issues, so far it's performing admirably and it sounds fantastic.

Price Point

Good features, poor sound quality

The cost point as well. It is like a Honda its very robust, output however is very sub par. The sound quality is very poor when compared to my previous receiver and i only saved less than $100 for this. In all honesty, I may throw this one away or sell for cheap in a few months

Good bang for the buck

More than outstanding for the price. A few quirks, needs to be on to catch some inputs. All good at this price point. Worth it

Headphones

They’re a touch “rough” with a bit of water damage to the bottom couple inches and a few dings. But they sound really good (to my ear) with the combination of my sub, center and surrounds through my Yamaha RX-V385.

Lots of features, relatively low price tag.

Been using it for several weeks now and have really enjoyed it. I previously had the Yamaha RX-6VA, this model's more expensive and slightly more fully-featured older brother. I have had roughly the same experience with this one as I did with the RX in terms of ease of use and sound quality, and though it has fewer features, it did not lose any that I personally miss. And it's $200 cheaper, which is not insignificant considering the price

Bass

Works Like a Boss So Far

Also, the -db volume control was so annoying. When I increase the volume the negative db shows up and apparently the numbers head toward zero as you turn the volume knob to the right. So, I changed that setting to increase the numbers instead of the -db. Then I played some Taylor Swift- Style (don't B judging me) and adjusted the amp sub woofer bass volume to equal my two front speakers and set the cut off frequency at 80 hz

I am aware the TSR-700 is buggy, but I wouldn't need HDMI 2.1 at the moment or 8K. Overall, I am looking for clear sound and nice bass that can definitely "wow" myself and other guests.

Gummy & sticky Front display panel

Unpacked & immediately disappointed. Front display panel had sticky & gummy residue. Review is NOT on performance of unit. Could not keep unit as received & not worth investing time to disconnect & reconnect current stereo system
