Rolex Daytona vs Seiko SNK809

Hell YES. Pick the Zenith El-P over a Rolex Daytona for sooo many legitimate horolgical and value reasons. INMO no comparison.

The media could not be loaded. In an age where the watch industry is dominated by lazy, gaudy, oversized chinese-made garbage such as MVMT, Vincero, or Daniel Wellington, it’s reassuring to know that there are still timepieces from collections such as the Seiko SNK Series that are valiantly fighting back. This watch astounds in this regard with a better movement, a more reasonable case size, and better aesthetics than the offerings of the above brands, at only a fraction of the cost. These fashion watch brands asking $149 for a 46mm quartz watch is laughable compared to this tasteful, versatile, and understated flieger watch with 140 years of heritage behind it

I know Daytonas aren’t exactly the most original choice nowadays, but this is a beautiful combo that I feel is not seen frequently. I love the way the black and rose gold contrast with each other, and the strap is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. I know the grey market pricing for steel models is absurd at the moment, so if anyone is considering one of those, I’d urge you to take a look at some of the PM models as well! There’s a lot of beautiful combinations available out there.

I'm not a fan of the gargantuan dishplate-sized watches that are in vogue today. This watch is the perfect size in my opinion. Some might consider the dial a bit busy and harder to read, but I like the look. The brushed metal finish is nice too

Rolex have ticked all the boxes with this watch. Onto the Rolex Daytona 116500LN Black Dial. This is such a fantastic watch, it is a joy to wear and admire on your wrist.

Lo and behold, though, the SNK809 won over another first timer. I ended up polishing up the case to make it look a little sharper and changed out the stock band for brown leather. I real love this thing. To me, the polished look gives it just that added bit of beauty
