And I also didn't really know where to look for watches, so the first one I actually got was from J.Crew, and it was the Timex T2N321 circa 2010 for J.Crew

I was in college, grad school, and I was just laser-focused on that experience, practicing my saxophone, playing gigs, and watches kind of took a back seat to all of that. But Then once I got settled, had a job, and finally started thinking more about improving how I dressed, building up my wardrobe, that's when I began scratching the surface of the watch hobby

I bought my Tudor 1926 a few months back and I have been looking to get a different strap for it. The 7 link bracelet that comes with the watch is definitely one of the most comfortable that I've worn, but it was time to change it up a little bit. I have heard great things about Aaron over at Combat Straps, so I reached out and asked him to make this Alcantara strap for me.

Now, do I like its design and do I think most people are gonna like the design of this compared to the Black Bait? I don't think so at all. I think this is a design that pulls from a lot of different areas, and there's other designs out there from other brands that can definitely match up a little bit more as a direct comparison compared to the Black Bay The Black Bay, there's a reason why Tudor is just releasing model after model after model. It's a design Dna that they can truly own as theirs, and that is so unique if you look across the entire industry

But to begin here, I think we should probably set the stage and get an understanding of the 1926 family and kind of where it sits and kind of the significance of it and what it's going for with its approach. The Most Underappreciated Watch from Tudor - 1926 Review

 What's nice is the texture actually breaks here along the very edge for the seconds track, which is, uh, just completely plain and kind of somewhat brushed. somewhat just flat color to it, which you'll be able to see more once we zoom in. Overall, I think they did a really good job on the dial here. The texture is very crisply done, the numerals look nice, I think they're well proportioned and it is just a nice clean, dressy dial

 and if you are into that, this is a cool watch to look at. I think for the money you can't do much better. You can obviously go with micro brands, you might offer a cooler design arguably, or maybe just other materials, but I think something that has some real heritage to it, something that is well built, something that has a five-year warranty on top of it. This is a great first step into like luxury watches and it really surprised me online
