While there is a Orion/Ludwig/Tangente trio from Nomos and I'm typically the Orion/Ludwig guy, I personally would pick Tangente for your collection because Orion is the minimalist, Ludwig is the classical and Tangente is the modern twist

The Nomos Tangente is often described as the 
“Epitome of a Nomos watch”.

Mainly because it boasts a Bauhaus-inspired design 
that is minimal and simple.

Whether or not you’re a fan of German watchmaking, this work of art deserves your respect and attention.

At first glance, the Nomos Tangente provides a clean and easy-to-read dial.

It looks trendy enough to be worn casually 
on a daily basis.

Additionally, the dial looks clean enough to be worn with a suit as a dress watch.

Depending on your build, the Nomos Tangente might look small on your wrist.

However, its size and case material make it really comfortable to wear on a daily basis.

Sideways, it is slimmer than your usual watch.

It is estimated to be less than 7mm in height.

This dimension will allow it to fit inside a dress cuff without trouble.

The Nomos Tangente’s dial shows only five Arabic numerals, while the rest are line markers.

This is a successful attempt in keeping the dial uncluttered.

As for its strap, Nomos went with a simple yet elegant plain black strap.

It is made of Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan which is both smooth and durable at the same time.

From 18mm at the lugs, it gradually slims down to 16mm at the buckle.

[music] Nomos is a brand that seems to live outside of, or at least on the edge of the traditional luxury watch industry. It's fairly young, being founded only in 1990. It's German, not Swiss, with its watches being designed in Berlin and produced in Glazurta just south of Dresden, and there's a playfulness to the brand that I appreciate, even though many of its watches are nearly austere

 The brand says that this system helps ensure accuracy, but I haven't tested it and with this movement upgrade comes an upgraded price too. With the solid case back, the Neomatic Platinum Gray is three thousand three hundred ninety dollars, and with this display case back is three thousand Seven hundred eighty dollars. The watch is actually thirty eight point five millimeters in diameter, seven point one millimeters thick with the display back, or six point nine millimeters thick with a solid case back. It's 47 millimeters long, and instead of being water resistant to 30 meters like the previous watch, this is resistant to 50 meters

 The Bauhaus principles focus on simplicity, form following function, and mass producibility, and these ideas often manifest in clean, modern design. So basically most Nomos watches, this is the 35mm Tangente. This is the 39 millimeter Tangente Neomatic with the platinum gray dial, and this is the 41 millimeter Tengente Neomatic Update This smaller tangente lists for nineteen hundred dollars with a solid case back, or two thousand one hundred eighty dollars for this sapphire case pack. It's 35 millimeters across and 45 millimeters long with a solid case back

 It seems like every brand is different, but Nomos says that 50 meters of water resistance means that you can shower with this watch on, but swimming is not recommended. Also, with 50 meters of water resistance, is this tangente Neomatic update. I think the word update might be a cute double meaning, indicating that it's relatively new and also that the date is up around the periphery of the dial. They're all light, like very light

Hell YES.  Pick the Zenith El-P over a Rolex Daytona for sooo many legitimate horolgical and value reasons. INMO no comparison.

I know Daytonas aren’t exactly the most original choice nowadays, but this is a beautiful combo that I feel is not seen frequently. I love the way the black and rose gold contrast with each other, and the strap is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. I know the grey market pricing for steel models is absurd at the moment, so if anyone is considering one of those, I’d urge you to take a look at some of the PM models as well! There’s a lot of beautiful combinations available out there.
