I'm looking for minor improvements mostly (I can't really see a pathway to 10lb BPW without dropping big money on DCF gear) and making sure I have reasonable climate protection. Less weight would be nice, as I'd like to skip the onion valley resupply but I just don't know how my body will respond to that kind of altitude to do that kind of mileage. I'm a fairly competent runner but at sea level. Thanks for the input!

Definitely large and heavy, so not for backpacking, but it's a permanent part of the car camping gear! Inflating takes a while if you do it manually, but worth it for a good night's sleep.

That depends where the hip pain is at. If the hip pain is at the bottom of the sleeping side, you'll want a thicker but deflated pad. This is caused by the sleeping pad being too hard and deflating it will help. In the case that your hip feels cold after deflating, get a CCF or something soft and place it under your hip area

Not a deal-breaker if you can just leave it inflated for, say, a week straight. But if you plan to move camps each day look elsewhere so that you can spend your time camping instead of inflating your pad.

You cant call them because they have a permanent voicemail system that automatically comes on and they never called back. It’s just ridiculous that you cannot back up your product better with this price tag. You will be better served by doing more investigating on sleeping pads and staying away from this one. This thing FINALLY lets me sleep on my side without my hips feeling bruised the next day. Even with the “pump bag” it’s still a bit of a headache to inflate, but it’s not a big deal. Definitely a price I’m happy to pay to finally sleep well!

COMFORTABLE, Quiet, Lightweight, Packs down easily and compactly, easy enough with a bit of to inflate bit of practice, good insulating qualities (I've slept on it in the snow at 20 degrees F).

The little things definitely made a difference with this pad: it's soft to the touch, the one-way valves make inflation/deflation hassle-free, & using the bag to inflate it was quick & saved me from getting woozy. I got the largest size & it took up an almost excessive amount of space in our 4-person backpacking tent, but my 6'6" husband fits on it & that definitely makes it worth it. We'll probably buy the smaller size next season for me & my husband will use the bigger one.
