 Now then, moving over 32 is one of those things that got everybody super excited when it was first announced last year and what is it? Well, it's a little desktop synthesizer with your AK format. You can use it like this, which is with it's lovely wooden, end cheeks. It'S got a MIDI input, which is what I'll control it from for the time being. So I can plug that straight in and play it straight from my MIDI keyboard

 A input means I can boost again coming out, so I can start to clip it if I really want to get a bit funky with that, but that's nice and useful, and additionally, while we're at it. Let'S do something else here: let's take the VCO pulse without and put that into the external audio. Now what we're getting is pulse width wave and a triangle wave then modulated, there's quite a lot of stuff. You could do there with the sequencer

 Let me show you before I do that, though, I'm just going to plug the keyboard into the filter, cutoff, just to show you that it is possible to actually play the filter, I'm going to plug something into the external audio and then move it right over and We'Re going to so yes, it is possible to play the filter tracking without the oscillator in there at all right. So let's get the VCO going on the LFO here right. So the first thing I'm going to do is I take the keyboard output and I'm going to go into the vc mix. Now the vc makes is a voltage control mixer

 Point on the patch Bay - that's actually quite nifty, because that assignable patch point means that through firmware updates, they can have it do lots of different things. It'S currently got a number of functions anyway, let's take a listen to a voice, starting with a sawtooth nice for the buzz good range on it. Let'S take a listen to the square wave, Oh for a long title variation of this they're moving on to the filter. The filter is actually quite interesting

For background, I primarily make dark ambient/drone and noisy techno, and I already have a Soma Lyra-8 and an Elektron Digitone (which often assumes drum duties—it's awesome for that). Seeing as I don't have a more conventional subtractive analog synth, I'm looking to fill that gap. But I don't want to be limited to conventional, which has drawn me to the world of semi-modular

  I can't get past having separate sequences as parts to a song. It always feels disconnected and hard to polish a full track.  I feel like Ableton *might* help with seeing a track laid out and help with mixing but I'm worried it would add a whole new huge layer of complexity when I'm already still trying to figure out so much.  So would it be easier to work inside a DAW when it comes to mixing and song structure?  Did I mess up by starting to learn music dawless?

 It sounds awesome. One could wish for a second oscillator like the Minitaur, but then the price would be a bit more too. Since it's Eurorack compatible, you can add another oscillator if you are going to use this in a skiff and build on it with other modules. If you want a bass synthesizer though that is stand alone, then perhaps the Minitaur is the way to go

 Now, instead of having a piano and string on top of each other layered or dual, I can go ahead and do a split. So I still have my piano up here, but now over here I'm going to go ahead and put some kind of bass. Maybe like a pick bass or here we go we'll do we'll do like a pick bass line so very fast.  We have two sliders one for the lower one for upper. This comes into play when we have a basic duel, so we might have an upper sound here and a lower sound here, either a split or have them actually layer together in a dual mode. So I could have maybe my piano and my string and that I can control the volume of each of them independently live, so very, very easy to do. Also we look up here

 Maybe like a pick bass or here we go we'll do we'll do like a pick bass line so very fast. We have, and maybe once again that base isn't loud enough. There we go now we have some, it's very quick, very easy to go ahead and create a duel and a split inside now, speaking of splits. If I wanted to change the split position where the notes actually go from one sound to another and here's this one right here so piano and then there's bass, if I press and hold the split button, I can go ahead and adjust and then put the split Point anywhere I want inside the key bit so very, very easy to do now

 Now, if we have it in performance mode, we can choose whether we want to create a dual very quickly, and I just press the dual button and you see automatically it told me the grand pianos on top and then, if I want to, I can go ahead And put the secondary the lower it may be here. I want to put a string so very quickly and let's go ahead and adjust the upper and lower like we said before. Here'S my upper, which is that piano and then I'll, bring in that string, which is the lower. So, as you can see, I can easily go in create a dual sound and control it live

Roland JUNO-DS - Basic Overview

 It'S got a mic level and the other reason why you busk with it it's battery-powered, so underneath you've got a little battery compartment and you can run it off batteries so really good. If you need to busk or say you're a choir director, you are the piano player in your rock choir and they've. Given you a gig in a marquee in the summer, this is great for you I'll just have a little flick through atsf. Let'S see what is so pretty cheesy, but pretty cool super whirly
