So I’ve been looking for a vacuum after my $60 eureka finally died after 4 years. Went down the vacuum rabbit hole now that I have 2 cats but really don’t want to spend anything over ~$350 and was getting overwhelmed. I know shark is looked down upon but I was looking for Black Friday deals to see if I could find a good deal on their website and I found the website linked below:

 Your U1's also gonna be good for cleaning the cyclones every so often since they will hold onto a bit of dust every time you empty it. Like another commenter suggested, a second set of washable filters is a good idea to eliminate the downtime caused by a monthly filter washing.

I should get it in a couple of days.  I used to own Dyson vacuums but never have had a portable vacuum.  Any tips or hints from people who own this one?  I’m going in blind on this.  But the price was right so Im pretty excited about having this second vacuum in the house.

Looking to step up my vacuum game from my Eufy Homevac S11. I have a 1500sf single level house with hardwood floors and area rugs. I also have two medium shedding dogs and a cat.

  The carpet in my apartment is relatively flat/worn (think standard bedroom carpet, but less plushy, nor berber), so I assumed using it on 1 was ok.  Should this be set to 2 or 3 instead to help prevent the issue for the type of carpet I have?  Also, should I have the vacuum serviced as a result of the dust and debris that clogged the filter?  I am concerned that the brand new motor is at risk as a result of what happened.

User Manual if needed: [[URL REMOVED] after noticing the light and freaking out, I opened the canister and checked around, including the Dust Compartment Filter.  I noticed this was full of dust and dirt.  Not wanting to take any chances with my new machine, I replaced that filter.  I had been using the Electrobrush on setting 1 (closest to the floor), which I assume was too low and contributed to the issue

I bought this on a Saturday after some intense upselling by the local sewing and vacuum store. I exchanged it the following Monday for a Riccar R25P. The good: quiet and the filters do a good job, no dust smell. So what I'm going to be unboxing and assembling today will be a quality vacuum cleaner, but is it good for the cleaning needs of 2018? Well my future demo will hopefully find that out, but anyway let's get it out of the box starting with the handle, so it comes with a 10 metre cable which is starting to become pretty standard with vacuum cleaners, it's really now I think the bare minimum you need with a vacuum, even some come with 12 or 13 metre cables, even if you have a small home it just saves you having to unplug and plug in each time you move to a different room. So there we go, that's the handle and it incorporates a handy thumb operated on off switch. Next out of the bag we have the wand, which also incorporates a stretch hose

 Whether it performs better we'll have to wait and see. So here is the new head, now Sebo have introduced this model to correspond with the latest EU energy ratings, so it is now a lower wattage motor I believe, I'll check but I believe this is an 890 watt motor, the maximum allowable wattage is 900 watts now for vacuum cleaners sold in the EU. It's also increased filtration, now this gets an A rating for dust emission so that is a big improvement on previous models. The head has been slightly changed and they've incorporated a deeper furniture guard to help prevent the machine from getting scuffed during use and this is at the back, this is where the filter is located now on this machine and they've also changed the foot pedal, now it's mainly plastic where it used to have a metal component, they've changed it there

 This machine will not reach up a standard flight of stairs, you do have to purchase

 the optional hose extension or buy one of the models further up in the range that come

 I believe the model up from this which is the navy blue one does come with the extension

 hose as standard as does the top of the range pet boost.

 from the existing X series, in fact if you look back at my videos you'll see me unboxing

 the Sebo X 1.1, there's very little difference, certainly cosmetically.
