 On medium, you probably within 10 feet of sitting at it. You know you, you know it's on within low. You have to put your ear about a foot away, to even know it's running and that's what it runs on 99 of the time, because once it gets your initial filtration done of all the air in your house, which doesn't take long about 15-20 minutes and it'll Filter pretty much all the air in your house. It turns itself down to low mode just to kind of maintain that super clean air

 That'S what i usually take, which kind of helps suppresses it. I really when, when my my buddy told me about the hepa filters and that he got one and then it completely changed his whole allergies, he got rid of them all. I really didn't believe him until i actually used one myself and i was really blown away within 24 hours. My allergies were completely gone

 You only have to replace it too, just because of the size of the filter once every year, maybe even longer, depending on the pollution level of the air quality in your home anyway. Absolutely love this thing: if you have allergies or pet allergies or anything, try this thing out, it's an absolute life-changing system. I highly recommend it anyway. Coway Airmega 400 Smart Air Purifier - Review 2022

The sensor default setting is pretty good. To confirm it does work, various air pollutants was purposely blew right at the sensor, such as vape, smoke, smoky oil. It does take 1 to 2 second for the sensor to detect it and the fan ramps to HIGH.

The WIFI smart assistant is pretty much useless. For a device that advertise as being easily integrated into a Google Home, why would the printed instructions not be included? It is plain stupid that it is required to do a search on a search engine to locate the instruction on how to set it up with Google Home. Same thing for the commands, going to the website directly there are no direct links in the product page. To get the commands, a search has to be done

 It's kind of eye opening to see what kinds of things stir up or introduce pollutants in the house.  My biggest complaint with the Airmega is their Smart Mode. Personally, I want the filter to always be running - but I do like the option of adjusting the fan speed based on environmental conditions during some times of the day. The problem is Smart Mode does turn the purifier completely off, and it happens pretty quickly (even when set to the most sensitive setting)

[ Music ] today I want to do just kind of a quick review for you guys on the co way: air mega 400 smart air purifier. I hadn't seen too many reviews on this unit, so I thought I'd kind of give. You guys my two cents based off my experience and let you know what I thought about it should mention also real quick to that. I actually found a pretty good deal on this air purifier and I'll put a link in the description below

 So you guys can check that deal out if you're interested, so if you're not familiar co way is one of the top most popular brands of air purifiers and for good reason they make really really good units. I did quite a bit of research on these and ended up landing on the air mega 400, just based on the square footage alone. They do make a little bit smaller model called the 300, which is rated just basically, it's the same exact unit, just rated for a little bit smaller space, but essentially it is the exact same unit. I should mention, too, that there is another model now out called the 400s

Overall, I like the unit because it does what I need; Cleans the air VERY well and has a programmable schedule, and it super quite, and looks cool to boot too!

What I don't like is the AUTO feature. It actually turns the air flow completely off if it detects clean air. OK, that's interesting, but I still want it to run at least on level 2 on auto, silent anyway and obviously new dust can fly in at any time. How can the unit detect new dust in the air, if the unit it completely OFF? That just doesn't make sense, and seems completely defective in logic

  Cons:  •The price fluctuates a lot which I talk about below. Feels bad to buy it only to have the price go down $20 a few days later. •The air quality sensor light is pretty nice, but I also don't trust it completely. I'll have the device running all day and then all the sudden the sensor light turns red (which indicates poor air quality) and the purifier starts running really hard, even though I don't see any reason why the air would have suddenly worsened

Solid air purifier with a few issues 1 YEAR UPDATED REVIEW

 I still think this is a decent product for most people, however, with my budget and need to keep the air in my loft/office clean, I may have considered a different, more expensive "pro/medical-grade" unit. I don't regret the purchase, just may eventually move to another part of the house and replace with a different unit in my main vaping area.

  THE GOOD: Overall, I'm happy with this unit. It does a great job of cleaning the air in my loft-like room (quite large: ~700 sq ft). It's lighter than I expected, and the fan is quite powerful - on "high" mode I can feel the air moving on the other side of the room. I use e-cigs and blow some large clouds, and this unit does a pretty amazing job of keeping the air clear and clean in the room at all times, both for my health and my families health in the other rooms, as well as protecting all of my electronics

 I have run it on medium or high mode most of the time, and it still seems to be cleaning the room but doesn't seem to be pushing air as hard as it used it. The noise is loud enough that it makes it difficult to fall asleep if it's in anything besides the lowest/standby mode. I have over 60% life left of my main filters (for reference of use). Contacting support in hopes that they will provide assistance, and reducing my rating to 2* due to issues

 The fact that Amazon puts its stamp of approval for Alexa integration on this unit is a bit troublesome. Please read reviews for the "skill" for Coway in the Alexa app. In summary, the device is utterly unusable with Alexa.  SUMMARY: If having a "smart" air purifier is really important to you, you should look elsewhere, unless the integration improves

Worked Great at first - Now some an issue with the fan(s)...

 On smart mode, as the air quality becomes worse, the fan speed will automatically operate at a higher speed. As the air quality gets better and remains good for 10 minutes or more, AirMega conserves energy by shutting down the fan and going into smart eco mode. If your AirMega is Wi-Fi enabled, you'll see an LED Wi-Fi indicator. When the light is off, that means the Wi-Fi mode is off and not connected to the Wi-Fi router

 If the ring changes to green and yellow, that means the air quality is moderate. Orange and yellow indicate that the air is unhealthy, while pink and red means very unhealthy. On smart mode, as the air quality becomes worse, the fan speed will automatically operate at a higher speed. As the air quality gets better and remains good for 10 minutes or more, AirMega conserves energy by shutting down the fan and going into smart eco mode

 At that point, you'll be prompted to wash the pre-filter, change the Max2 filter, or both. You can reset the Max2 filter and pre-filter status indicators by holding them down for 3 seconds. To turn off the AirMega, simply hold down the power button for 3 seconds. Now breathe deeply

 The way it works is that the built-in pollution sensor measures the amount of pollutants in the air, which will change the color of the indoor air quality indicator. Blue and green means the air quality is good. If the ring changes to green and yellow, that means the air quality is moderate. Orange and yellow indicate that the air is unhealthy, while pink and red means very unhealthy
