If you have significant allergies and need a good air purifier, I'd stick to known good ones like the Honeywell HPA300 or the Blue Air Pure 211+. Neither are smart, though.

I purchased Blueair 211+ Auto. I personally didn't noticed an improvement in air quality, instead the device emenated a sweet then later a plastic burning smell. My wife on the other hand, she is more sensitive with allergens such as dust and pollen and she felt the device had helped her greatly. Anyways, because of the unsual burning smell I returned it and order a different air purifier brand.

I was excited to own this filter after seeing the positive reviews. My experience is that it made my room smellier. The machine produced a strong musty odor that didn't disappear after a week of use. Had a blue air pure 211+ and it was awful. It nearly killed me and two others in my family. Putting out toxic VOCs. I would say if you like machines like Xiaomi but tried and tested in the US then go Levoit.

Did I buy an air purifier that doesn't meet your own standards? Your own videos stress that it's important to buy a true HEPA filter purifier. I got this home and it doesn't appear to be a true HEPA and doesn't filter 99.97% at 0.3 microns. Am I wrong?

I bought one, then learned AFTER that the "HEPASilent" filter does not in fact equate to HEPA level filtering. Apparently (not verified) the HEPASilent filter doesnt filter to same standard.
