 I saw some pet hairs inside the box and found some fuzz and hairs on the filter when I removed it. I honestly thought “no biggie” because I had purchased with a gift card and paid very little out of pocket, and I’m generous with trying new things.  Thank goodness I gave it a shot! You could feel and breathe the difference in the air after a few hours of running it. I live in a very tiny apartment with a cat and lots of upholstery and surfaces that hold dust/dander

 Guests were having problems with allergies when they visited (I do vacuum a lot to try and mitigate symptoms). I have noticed an extreme difference in air quality even after about 2 months now. I leave it running almost constantly and move it around to different rooms where I’m cleaning sometimes. You can clearly see what it’s catching in the filter, even small fruit flies (ya, gross lol)

I have really severe allergies, and after doing a lot of homework I ended up following Wirecutter's advice and I bought two Coway AP-1512HH and 4 Levoit Core 300s to cover the majority of my house. They've made a noticeable improvement in my allergies!.

Our home is open concept — so I figured we’ll need a fairly large air purify to cover the main level. (1,000 square feet) Are air purifiers worth the price tag? Do they actually help odor, dust in the home and allergens? I also have asthma and have wondered if an air purifier would be worth it for that reason too. Any advice is appreciated!

Air Purifiers...are they worth it?

 Levoit  also make pet specific filters for this model. Filter replacement cost is reasonable when their lifespan is about 6-8 months iirc.

Can anyone recommend air purifier for pollen allergies animal smell for under 100 dollars?

 I guess when I thought of air purifiers I'd always think of the fancy Dyson ones that cost hundreds of dollars. I mean, puh-lease. Not happening. Then I found this little guy

 changer. Ever since moving to Texas, I suffer from terrible seasonal allergies. I never have in my life until now (turns out I'm allergic to a handful of trees that are native around here. Fun

 So if someone in your house has stinky feet, or underarm odor, then probably DON'T expect this thing to do you much good.  With that said, though, the fact that this unit has a carbon-activated filter, then it can help to remove smoke odors circulating directly in the air even if it won't remove the odor of smelly feet. The long & short of it here, however, is that I finally just went to bed leaving the unit running all night for the next 8 hours. I had actually given up on the idea that I would stop smelling smoke odor coming from the exhaust fan

  But all the same, I will leave this thing running FULL TIME until it either burns out or until this smoke finally goes away. Even then I'll just leave it on the #1 speed indefinitely until it dies on me and then I'll buy a new one.  But I'm "sold American" on this thing! It works!! And you can ask anybody, because I don't write many reviews (good or bad) on products I buy from Amazon. That's my bad, because I should write more reviews than I do and the problem is that I'm just plain lazy

All in all, this is a very nice air purifier. It's very easy to use, it has a lot of options, it's quiet on low, you can turn off the lights, and it works really well. I would absolutely recommend it!

Hi, I've seen nice and affordable Xiaomi air purifiers but they don't seem to be sold here in the US. I wonder if there are similar branches here, with similar price range and features.

All recent Xiaomi air purifiers have app and laser dust sensor. These two features seem to be very rare in the air purifiers sold in US. I'm not sure why, they seem like simple features to have.

The ones I'm using are very loud and don't seem to work for the room size they stated. I turn them on all day but dust is still everywhere in the air.

Please suggest some good air purifiers to buy in US, which have apps and laser sensors.

 Xiaomi was showing half the values of Philips at the beginning then settled to zero. I took a blanket and shook it well just between the devices. Philips went crazy to values over 200 but Xiaomi did not even budge!!! Overall, what is the purifier for if you do not know what the values are and whether it actually cleans the air. I would recommend to choose other device

 I was reading many reviews: it make work for some, but definitely not on mine device. I bought Philips air purifier that claims to have reliable sensor (reviews claim that, too). I made a small non-scientific experiment. I run them both in the same room
