 So while it's high priced, you are getting one of the best made chairs in the industry. The next thing that i like about the embody is going to be the armrest. They are comfortable softly, padded, very large, surface area to put your arms on and they do feature a large height adjustment range and a large width adjustment range, so not quite as adjustable as some of the other arms on the market. But the pads themselves are quite comfortable

 So i've covered the things that i, like the things that i dislike, but i still haven't answered that question is the embody chair worth it? Not a simple, yes or no. We'Ve covered the things that might be attractive for some, the things that might be deterrence for others. What i can speak on is from a pure value standpoint, the price that you're paying for the chair when extrapolated over a 12-year period because of herman miller's fantastic warranty, does provide a pretty interesting proposition, you're going to be able to sit in one of the nicest Chairs on the market, for somewhere between 125 to 150 a year, depending on how you configure the chair now when we break it down to a pure year cost, it becomes very affordable. If we compare that to buying a low end chair for around that price point that you might have to replace every one or two years, then it becomes a pretty easy decision in terms of an investment standpoint, you could argue that it might be a little bit Better to go with a mid market, 500 600 chair, maybe replace it once or twice in that period

 There were a few people in our office that did not like the seat and it's because they said that they could feel some of the individual nodes as they moved around, and they did not find that to be comfortable. The next thing that may be a potential problem for some people is that the embody does not have any arm pad adjustment. It does have height adjustment and width adjustment and they are wide ranges but you're not going to get any tilt depth or arm pad width adjustment, which some of you may be looking for for those high intensive tasking applications. If you need those adjustments, unfortunately, the embody is not going to be for you, while the embody tested well in our office for back support

Herman Miller Embody Office Chair: Is It Worth It?

 All are fully serviceable from companies that manufacture their own for at least 20 years. I don't think there is such a thing as a BIFL task chair for under $800 new.

First off, let me state I'm not totally sure this is the right reddit to ask this. 

Basically I'm in need for a new Computer chair, but I want one that will last me a while and not just start breaking down after a year or 2. 

I've narrowed it down to these two, 

Now, Obviously the prices are a big difference, but I can't tell if that's because the first is rated for a higher weight, or if there is some fundamental difference in quality I'm not seeing. 

Does anyone know which is a better deal? (If It helps, I don't really NEED the extra weight, I only weigh 220lb).

Which Computer Chair should I buy? (not sure if right Reddit)

 There are 4 positions, and I find positions 2 and 3 to be the most comfortable depending on what I'm doing.  I hope that these instructions are helpful to someone, because it's frustrating not being able to find the correct adjustments for your chair after all the work and time spent on research before making the decision to purchase it.  I read this somewhere, "Don't ruin your health in order to earn money. You will end up spending your money to recover your health and that is not reciprocal

 My $100 chair that I've been using for the past 10 years is disintegrating in front of my eyes, so I've been looking for a replacement chair. As I've inched closer to 40, I'm starting to feel all the abuse I've put my body through when I was younger. So for my 38th birthday, I've decided to splurge and treat myself to a top of the line ergonomic chair.  I've done extensive research before purchasing this chair

 Also, use of a foot rest will increase the comfort level.  Finally, I can't stress enough the importance of correctly adjusting the chair. You'll have a miserable time with the chair if it's not adjusted properly for your body. Below is what I used to correctly adjust my chair

If visual impact or overall polish are primary concerns, then Herman Miller has the edge. Anyone who knows office chairs will recognize an Embody or Aeron, but the Fern isn't as iconic and doesn't really scream that it's special when you see it in person.

Desk area consists of a top from a local seller of office furniture, I had the adjustable IKEA BEKANT legs from earlier on, currently using a Herman Miller Embody I got around two years ago, I have nothing but good stuff to say about this chair, I expect it to last me for a long time, with the 12 year warranty it came with.  I have to constantly remind myself like it is good for me to sit in a proper position. I really hate the new price point of the embody. These are now 1800 1900, and that is absolutely ridiculous and i i don't love it, and this is why herman miller doesn't make a ton of money off of individuals like you and me. They make their big bucks by selling their stuff to big offices by supplying an entire office with their furniture

Herman Miller Embody One Year Review + Headrest Update!

 I have one screw at the base of the back that can't be screwed in completely. Attaching the back portion is something that two people should do together because it is difficult to hold the back in place while trying to attach the spine to the back and the spine to the seat. Overall, this is an exceptional product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs quality support.

This design by herman miller is, i think, my favorite feature about this chair, because, what's so unique about it is that every other chair has a back, that's fixed, which means you sit in it and if your back doesn't fit, then you got to get a new Chair this is really really apparent in the gaming chairs in the typical gaming chairs. I i reviewed this when i talked about the secret lab omega when i talked about the underseat in that it has a very c shape, it curves your back into a c. The reason why i'm sitting very lightly on this is because this is the opposite of every chair
