 So if you get someone moving too quick and the primary camera has a blurry face, it can merge in the faster sharper face from the ultrawide camera into your shot. Automatically, i mean that's, you kind of just never have blurry faces in your photos overall, just as someone who's used now, both of these phones for a couple weeks, iphone's camera system is better than the pixels. It just is right. Now it doesn't it's more consistent

 It has great dynamic range, great stabilization and that big sensor is giving you real background blur and impressively staying in focus most of the time and in some of these harder scenes you can definitely see the processing working like here when it's trying to bring up the Shadows, it's pretty noisy but still overall color and exposure and white balance and the details are all great with the pixel 6's video and i'm really happy to see that and then another thing i noticed the pixel really cranks iso all the way up in the viewfinder. So you can see a lot of noise before you snap a photo and start the processing, like it's very easy to see this here in a screen recording. But that's what it's doing you can see in a selfie viewfinder, especially it'll. Look super jacked up and really noisy just to keep a high frame rate and shutter speed when you're taking the selfie and then you take it and you see it process and then everything sharpens up and it looks miles better

Pixel 6/6 Pro Review: Almost Incredible!

 I figured I'd try the Pixel, having a few friends who love their older Pixels.  The good stuff first:  (+) The camera is truly amazing. I have a professional DSLR and I can say that this is by far the best phone camera I've ever used. The S9 was great, but it had some issues with artifaction and contrast

 I was deciding between a few phones and had narrowed it down to the OnePlus 8T, the Huawei P30 Pro, and the Samsung S21. OnePlus has notoriously awful customer service and the phone wasn't water resistant, so that was a dealbreaker for me, and then Huawei was too expensive and had at least the threat of compatibility issues. I figured I'd try the Pixel, having a few friends who love their older Pixels.  The good stuff first:  (+) The camera is truly amazing

 Not sure how they swung this but I guess Google would have it figured out.  (+) Battery life is good. I can get through the entire day of moderate use without charging it until I go to bed. With heavy use, I imagine I'll have to charge it before then, so I'll see how it goes on a few upcoming trips, but my S9 wasn't able to hold a charge past noon on a good day, so it's a huge improvement there

So close, Google! And yet.

I've come to the Pixel 6 from an LG G6, which I really liked. I was happy with the camera, but its OS was dated and the battery was near its end, so it was time to switch. My wife just bought a new Samsung phone, and she wasn't thrilled with it. I'm just a little concerned about the potential for Chinese spyware, and other bad actors on the web, so I'm happy to have the Pixel's extended security and OS upgrades

Still a lot to learn

 It's a better overall camera system. But this, the hardware is so good in the pixels and you can see that promise in those 10 out of 10 shots that the pixel fan in me is like hoping. maybe in one or two software updates it'll be a 10 out of 10 more often. But until then because we don't know if that's ever gonna happen

 I can't get a signal in half the places i go, where i phones, my old pixel 5, and Samsung's have no trouble. Also random disconnects from network. Please ditch Samsung modem on Pixel 7!

 The iphone 13 has colored. These low light photos a bit more true to life, but in terms of brightening up an image and keeping it clean, i would say that the pixel 6 is the best, particularly with the main sensor now in terms of the zoom, so on the pixel 6 pro You have that 4x optical zoom. It shoots well in properly lit conditions and in low light scenarios. It has an incredible amount of detail when you hit that 20x zoom, though the pixels get pretty grainy

 They all shoot really well in good lighting conditions, even last year's pixel 5. and to me the pixel 6 is strangely similar to the pixel 5 on the main sensor like it's got the same kind of coloring very similar in dynamic range, but it's also the sharpness Pixel 5 and pixel 6 have very similar sharpness to their photos, and that to me was surprising, like the pixel. 6 is running new hardware, new image sensor new lens, but it's so close. Now, that's not to say that that's poor right, the pixel 5 had great images to begin with, but i just thought, based on the marketing material and based on how they talked about this camera system, that there would be a noticeable improvement in sharpness

 I like them a lot. It'S just that if you have heightened expectations of what the camera is going to be like you got to temper it. I feel like you're, going to be disappointed if you wanted this thing or expected this thing to be like the clear camera king. It'S a really good camera system, but so is everybody else's stuff and i think if you go into it with like weird expectations like i did you're going to be a little bit disappointed but overall easy recommendation

 Now, when you get to more difficult shots like when you need to have a little bit more dynamic range, it does well like the images, have a lot of detail in the dark areas and same with the highlights. Stuff doesn't look overexposed or anything. It has a very good ability to capture regular shots like well-lit, proper conditions. This is good at it, but the truth is, everybody is as well in 2021, all the major players in the smartphone game with their flagship phones

My Pixel 6 Pro Review

 If you are thinking that you might take the ultimate selfie without having to edit, you are wrong. It's either too bright or too dim. Autofocus is a bit slower than the Pixel 5. When taking a video, just don't do it with this phone if you want it to be the highest quality

 All glass may be an issue. I have an Otterbox case on my Pixel 6 Pro and I accidentally dropped it and it cracked the bottom left corner of my screen. Now my review of the camera. The front-facing camera is mediocre at best

 The battery does not last as long as advertised. If anything, I believe I got better battery usage from the Pixel 5. Charging is no faster than the Pixel 5. The processor does seem faster, though

Not as great as the Pixel 5

 The OLED screen with the curved edges and almost invisible bevels is beautiful and elegant both to feel and see, and the 120Htz refresh rate is super smooth (when it works, also a complete battery hog). As per usual for Pixels, the OS is pure Android and the user experience is superb (it ships with v12 but v13 installed almost immediately upon setup). There are innumerable ways to customize the phone settings, so once you get it adjusted for your use and preferences, it is a very functional phone (subject to the items noted below). The CAMERA is spectacular, with both wide-angle and telephoto capabilities; hands down, the best pictures I've ever taken with a smartphone

not sure why that was considered necessary but it's just weird and unhelpful (a case addresses this). #5 Google Assistant - I know the AI is supposed to be a huge deal (and I'm sure technologically it is), but I basically turn off Assistant for several reasons: it seems to turn on all the time (even when you don't want it to), I don't want to talk to my phone much of the time (like anytime I'm in public), and too often it's just not helpful, so it's mostly novelty for me but I don't rely on it for anything.  Overall the camera is what sells this phone (noting Pixel fans will love the excellent pure Android experience and overall design of the phone). Keep in mind the other Pixels have the same processing software and chip, so you get much of the same value with the 6 and 6a

I got this at a substantial discount when Google started marketing the 6a and hinting at the 7, otherwise I would have gone with the 6 or 6a. I would switch back to my Pixel 3A XL, but I needed a different phone to switch carriers. Already looking forward to trade-in for a Pixel 7
