I've been looking at the Moto One 5G Ace, and also the (seemingly non-existent) Moto One 5G UW. The Ace isn't even on A11 and probably won't even get 12. So I was debating spending more and going to Pixel 5a or newer, Samsung higher-ish end, or some other phone in line a bit with Moto G Power unless the Ace is still actually worth buying, since it is on sale with Black Friday currently. Not sure what Motorola is thinking, but the newer Moto G Powers are just downgrades. Has anyone switched to a different brand recently?

Upgrading from Moto G Power 2020, not much luck finding anything.

 Regarding autonomy, it's been a while since I found myself in a situation where I no longer had to worry about recharging my phone for a whole day.  And finally, for the price, the performance and general experience far exceed that of the LG G6.  Verdict, no need to buy a flagship to have a very good phone

3. Build quality and hardware which guarantees longevity in terms of performance. (high end SoC or Google equivalent)
4. At least 4 year software support. (Currently, 3 year support imposed due to Snapdragon SoCs).
5. Does not exceed AUD $800.
6. I'm ok with 90Hz screen. 120 Hz might be bad on battery
7. Good Li-Po battery (4000 mAH minimum)
8. Improvement on camera sensors/hardware. The 4 and 5 didn't give me any reason to upgrade from a Pixel 3.
9. Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2

Literally the only thing I care about is the sensors for the camera. My hopes are either an imx 700 or a Samsung GN2. Hopefully they put some powerful ass sensors in to at minimum match the camera hardware from the competition. Let's say the do choose a Samsung gn2, at 50 megapixels on that sensor, it's the same pixel size as their current sensor at 12mp. I'm probably wrong on this but imagine the capability of 50 megapixel nightsight.

I like the midrange approach with the Pixel 5. The 765G is plenty powerful for me but with an emphasis on battery. What I'd like to see improved is the wide angle camera; it's decent but not as wide as other cameras.

I want it to be my pixel 3 XL, just better. I want the squeeze function and gesture controls, shortcuts, size. All of it. I just want better hardware. Everyone I know that has the pixel 3XL loves it. So, after seeing the new Android 12 update I’m thinking of possibly taking the step over from iOS again. I’ve never been especially brand loyal when it comes to phones but I do enjoy both sides of the spectrum, but I love theming, I love when you can select accent colors and everything like that, and I don’t see iOS doing that anytime soon if ever. I like iOS for many things but its UI is honestly not one of them even if it’s gotten better. 

Anyway so for me to actually step over to a Pixel 6 I think I’d need at least some of these, but mainly the first one: 
-	For Google to release their phones in my country officially!!! It’s a tough market to to compete in because iPhones are ubiquitous. But I don’t like buying grey market imports that have been marked up by 20% or so, with limited warranty and usually no way to claim any of Googles campaigns they have when they bundle their phones with a speaker or earbuds or whatever. Mostly the price and limited support. 

But as for specs: 

-	At least 8 GB RAM
-	128 GB storage for entry level model
-	Either 5,5-5,8” or a big boy 6,5” display size, 1440p AMOLED display with 120 ha variable refresh rate 
-	3x camera lenses minimum for both models: Wide, Ultrawide and Zoom. I would fully expect a new camera lens for the wide too. I would love a telescope zoom as long as it’s decent and not just cropped in nonsense like on some phones that promises 130x zoom etc. 
-	Snapdragon 888 or their Whitechapel SoC if it has the specs to compete with the Snapdragons, Kirins and A14-A15 Bionics of the world. 
-	At least 3700 mAh in the small one and 4500 mAh battery in the big one. It’s not impossible to have those sizes without being bulky. 
-	Premium in-hand feel: If you’re using plastic, better make it feel fantastic, but I would rather see some alternative material even if I don’t love the fragility of glass phones. 
-	Fast charging that can compete with other phones, 40w at least with the option to charge slower if you want to. 
-	IP68 
-	5G 
-	Fingerprint on the power button or in-screen if they’ve managed to make it fast enough. I mean I would love some type of Face ID but there’s no way they can fit that in a bezel-less display and I don’t want any more notches or big punch holes. 
-	A nice design that actually looks stylish and not just utilitarian. Not flashy, but something that can compete with the iPhone for looking like a style accessory in a way, basically premium-looking and feeling design. 
-	Bezel-less display with a small tiny cutout at the very most. 
-	3 years of updates guaranteed, rather would see 5 when they introduced their new SoC, but on the other hand it’s Google, they will probably close the division that makes the chips in a year or two. 
-	Stereo speakers. 
-	Multiple color options and not just black and gray (they’re usually decent at that though).

Five years of software updates and security support.

Selling a flagship phone with only 3 years of security updates on the day it goes on sale is just stupid. My Pixel 2 doesn't need replaced, but I'm seeing software bugs and I don't want to run without security updates. Today, if I buy a pixel 5, I get 2 1/2 years of updates - Oct 2023 is it's EOL date - that's just pathetic. 30 months of support for the premier phone offered right now.

I hear people say Apple makes their phones obsolete so people buy more phones, but I know a lot of people running 4+ year old iphones. They may not be as fast as the new hotness, but at least they have security updates.

Three-year planned obsolescence is the biggest turn-off I have with the Pixel line up.

My Pixel 2 doesn&#39;t need replaced, but I&#39;m seeing software bugs and I don&#39;t want to run without security updates. Today, if I buy a pixel 5, I get 2 1/2 years of updates - Oct 2023 is it&#39;s EOL date - that&#39;s just pathetic. 30 months of support for the premier phone offered right now.</p>

<p>I hear people say Apple makes their phones obsolete so people buy more phones, but I know a lot of people running 4+ year old iphones. They may not be as fast as the new hotness, but at least they have security updates.</p>

<p>Three-year planned obsolescence is the biggest turn-off I have with the Pixel line up.</p>

Since a lot of people here love Pixels, myself included, yet there's always so much controversy due to Google's strange decisions with Pixel feature-sets, I was wondering...

What kind of hardware/software combo would Google have to bring to the table with the Pixel 6 line in order for you to buy and be happy? eg., for me:

* Small-ish (~5.5") and large-ish (~6.5") options
* At least a SD 780G (or Google silicone equivalent) with 6 GB RAM, though preferably 8+ GB
* Maximum price of $700, though I wouldn't mind if there were a "Pro" model with SD 888 and $800+, as long as there's a cheaper variant
* 90 Hz is fine for me, though 120 Hz would be preferable
* No under-display speaker
* Auto-focus selfie camera, preferably with quite a wide angle
* Wide, ultrawide, and telephoto cameras on the rear, all with upgraded sensors/optics
* Haptics at least on-par with the Pixel 4/XL
* Fingerprint on rear; only under-display if it's quick and secure
* I'd be fine with 3200+ mAh battery in a 5.5" body, though imo it should go up by 100+ mAh per 0.1" in display size

Feel free to throw in other things you'd love to see, but don't expect, eg. (for me) 100% uniform bezels, 5 years software support, etc.
