 This pedal has a stockpile of tone. There's so many things that make this pedal the ideal

 candidate for you and your comrades. I'll stop. Jason told me that this is his favorite in the

 Big Muff lineup but that's only because he loves the sounds it makes. See? These things are

 subjective. He would say that it's gnarly and definitely warrants its Ulyanovsk paint job.

 It has a rich clarity without being too bright and it stays perfectly close to its fuzz brothers

 I said earlier that this was Jason's favorite pedal. So Jason, defend yourself. Describe it to me.

 I've played through a lot of fuzz pedals as a guitar player. It's one of my favorite

 effects as a guitar player. One of my favorite fuzzes is the Candy Apple Fuzz by Barefoot

 effects. Bare effects? Barefoot effects? I can't remember off the top of my head but

I never really write reviews, but this time I felt I had to. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and like most guitarists have been searching for the sound inside my head. This time I believe I've found it. I've tried numerous other muff, fuzz, overdrive and distortion pedals and although many are very good, I have never come across a pedal that has such clarity and bite and warmth as this one

 We had to make this the fuzz a singing mid-range type of fuzz, because then we were gonna later on add bass and treble. They're active EQs, something like I saw in the Boss FA-1 or I saw in Boss Metal Zones, things like that. You see these active EQs used? You see different styles. Sometimes you see a very hi-fi one that might exist in a stereo or like the Boss, you know, FA-1

 You got to have three to get the gain up. You got to have a couple silicon transistors to give you that edge, and you have to have a germanium to give you that kind of smooth sound that everyone expects from a good fuzz. What I really liked about this was that we got to add an active EQ to it to give you exaggerated fuzz sounds, and we got to give you a bias control that allows you to shape the tone of the fuzz at any point in time. So that's what makes this fuzz bender special

 It just sounds a little softer and it doesn't break up as much. So that's why we chose to have the first stage with these, you know, very modern transistors so we get the gain up. So there's lots of, you know, velcro fuzz available and then these particular japanese ones sound really good. They're very even, they're very consistent and they allow a good amount of trouble through
