In terms of watch for dollars, it's a terrible bargain. It's obviously great in resale terms, but I don't wear watches for the next owner. I'd take a lightly used Pelagos or Planet Ocean (both around $4k) before spending my money on a Submariner. Or a BB58 if it fit my wrist

I'd like the option to change the strap if something goes bad like tattered leather or the bracelet is bad.

After seeing the Tudor Black Bay 58 on social media I had to go into an AD and see one for myself. Went to the closest AD and found one on their nato strap, tried it on, and fell in love! But I did not buy it on site. I had to try it on the bracelet before pulling the trigger.

The Casio Duro seduced me, because quartz is precise and durable, it was cheap, could be worn underwater, has a screw-down crown... And this was known as the Bill Gates watch, which added some story to this model

my take: the everyday watch gotta have a date, preferably day/date, *at least* 100m water resistance, crazy comfortable to wear, good in every outfit (unless you have a particular watch for dressy occasions). anything from Sinn is a good idea, but you can also look at the Tudor Black Bay 58, if you don't own it already. oh and Yema makes some excellent divers that are usually in the 1k bucks range.

I put it on and it felt just right. TLDR. Instead of getting automatic watch, I got entry level Casio Duro and super happy about it.

Perfect travel watch. I take this and this watch only on all of my overseas travel – functional, robust, don’t have to stress about banging it up, don’t have to worry about it getting stolen.

And yes I know water and electric do not go together but my point is it gets a workout and fits going from one to another and still looks and works great. And the price is the exclamation point and this is why I say this is a great watch..

In the end, for me, it felt more my style than a sub and has a bit more unique character to it. My favorite element is the contrast between the matte dial and the gilt shiny hands and marker surrounds.

The Black/**Charcoal Sunburst-ish dial** finishing looks absolutely stunning and I did not see this coming, considering the price point of this watch. Also, love the Marlin on the back!. I have been looking to get a Casio Duro for a very long time now but could not find it locally, except for an importer who was charging almost three times the price of the watch for the plain black variant, which did not seem fair to me at all.

I love the design and attention to detail this watch has, plus the fact that if you change the strap to a brown leather or even fabric it can be matched with more casual wear. I purchased 3 watches different colors, currently wearing the black colored one, I have giving it a few chances to keep the correct time but it keeps falling behind 2-3 minutes, I like the watch feel,look and style but it should keep the right time above all and do far it has fail. Now I'll try the blue colored one see if its going to keep the correct time

A lot has been said about this one but it really is close to perfection. Timekeeping wise this is the most accurate mechnical watch I've owned, in a week it had gained 4 seconds which is really awesome.
