 So I'm going to be speaking mostly to the stainless steel case variant with the bracelet to match, because personally, this is the one that I think delivers the most punch and for a more attainable watch like this, the bracelet is actually very good, but let's speak to the actual measurables here. So it measures at 45 millimeters in diameter, 13.5 millimeters thick, and a 53 millimeter lug to lug distance. So hearing all those things out loud, it is going to sound like a larger watch, which it certainly is

An Excellent Chronograph With Rich History - Bulova Lunar Pilot

 I Don't pick up these watches just to inflate their sales. And indeed, I'm not gonna do that with this one. It comes with a recommendation, but it comes with a recommendation for probably guys with bigger wrists than I have, which is a real shame. Let's flip the camera and have a look at what I'm missing

The Other Moon Watch - Bulova Lunar Pilot

My wife strikes again with my birthday present, this time it’s the Bulova Lunar Pilot. I’ve been wanting this watch for a while (as the speedy is out of my price range) but I was always concerned that it was just too big for my wrist. After putting it on all my worries we’re put aside, this watch is a beauty! The 52mm lug to lug actually sits nicely on my wrist and the huge dial looks great in any light (especially outdoors).

 I'm not a fan of butterfly clasps, but there is a very small Bulova symbol on one of the clasps that adds to its appeal, so I'm opting to stick it out with the butterfly clasp until it gets dinged up, at which time I'll replace it with a quick-release clasp. I'm not knocking the product down to four stars for the butterfly clasp, though (I don't like reviews that knock the product for what really boils down to the customer not doing their homework).  The watch keeps excellent time for a quartz mechanism as I've been actively testing its accuracy against the Fort Collins, CO atomic clock and after several weeks there is no detectable time drift, so the 262kHz mechanism is doing its job as it should. (My "weekend beater," a Casio MDV-106 "Marlin," experiences nominal time drift, but it is a $40 watch, so I'm not upset by that)

 I'm curious to see how long the battery lasts for the Lunar Pilot, and given that its stepper motor is two times more active than most regular quartz watches, I'm guessing it's safe to presume that its battery will last only half as long (if not less). Also, being a quartz watch and not mechanical, the price is within reach for more people than an Omega Speedmaster is (though I'd love to own one of those someday too). The black face is attractive, but be aware that the sapphire crystal is quite reflective (no AR, or anti-reflective coating is applies), so sometimes pictures of the watch reflect ambient light sources (maybe somebody can take a shot of the watch with a polarized lens to eliminate this effect). I also like that the sub-dials and the outer rim where the seconds tickers are located are all sunken just a little bit under the main dial, creating more of a 'depth' to the face than it might seem in online photos, though it would have been even cooler if the sub-dials had a downward slope to them like more high-end chronos

 The shape of the pushers are unique to this model and have been widely praised. I like them myself and they work great. In case you are wondering about the battery life due to the higher energy consumption of the movement, it far exceeds Bulova's estimate of 2 years. My oldest Bulova Precisionist is more than 3 years old and I have never had to replace the battery even with a continuous sweeping center second hand going continuously for 3 1/2 years

Great quality, value and performance

 The actual finish of the case & band are a dull nonreflective effect - ultralight bead blasted (as distinguished from "crusty" heavy bead blasting).  Appears the 50m water resistance is a static value derived from pressure chamber (and not necessarily reality). So I'd not at all dive with this, or even swim with this, but it'll stand a rainstorm and a shower and maybe some hottubbing. I'd like to see a screw-down crown but I'll take what I can get

 The quality is self-evident when you hold it in the hand and put it on the wrist, it feels as solid as anything from its grand rival in Geneva, and on my 16 centimeter circumference wrist, it fits well. You can see it is low enough to fit underneath the cuff, so it could be your dress watch. You can see that it's short enough across the wrist that I can recommend it. For a wrist as small as 13 and a half centimeters circumference, and from over the top you can see it comes where nowhere near the edge of my wrist, down the barrel

I love absolutely everything about this watch. The sunburst effect on the dial, the symmetry due to the 6 o'clock date window, the blue lume, magnetic resistance, co-axial escapement, and most importantly the green dial! It is my first Swiss watch and I couldn't be more happy with it.

This one very much on a leather strap would look the business and would not look out of place by any means. And yes, the Aquaterra certainly is a mass appealing watch and is by no means I think underrated, but I think maybe underappreciated is the better word for understanding what the value it is being provided here

 This is a model that I reviewed and it does have that mass market appeal, but it is a bit different in terms of not seeing it everywhere on everyone's wrist. The cancel lever indices that blue dial. It is going to be mass appealing in terms of its looks but also providing something that is a bit different. Integrated bracelet that's going to be appealing to something that of course I think we all know with a lot of those high horology sports integrated style bracelets but with the movement inside with that elite caliber being skeletonized really offering up a really nice looking movement and then also getting a dial that really does look the business in all aspects

Is the OMEGA Aqua Terra the Perfect Everyday Luxury Watch in 2021?

Movement is very accurate and growing more and more common by the day. Also, what a strap-beast… Looks great on the Omega bracelet, but also is very inviting to all sorts of colors of rubber and leather straps. The watch sits in that nice little sweet spot of drawing attention only from people I enjoy it drawing attention from… this one likely will not be the target of a thief, rather the target of a particular type of watch nerd (love that kind of watch nerd).
