The Bulova Lunar Pilot is objectively a better watch and I think it looks more interesting too. For $5000 I’d get Heuer Autavia over a Speedmaster just because it’s not a Speedmaster. I’ve tried it on 3 times now and came into it with a positive attitude.

For only a bit more money, I was able to get this Bulova Lunar Pilot on a bracelet which is an amazing value. The main problem people had with this watch was the 52mm lug-to-lug size but my 8 inch wrists make it look right at home.

My wife strikes again with my birthday present, this time it’s the Bulova Lunar Pilot. I’ve been wanting this watch for a while (as the speedy is out of my price range) but I was always concerned that it was just too big for my wrist. After putting it on all my worries we’re put aside, this watch is a beauty! The 52mm lug to lug actually sits nicely on my wrist and the huge dial looks great in any light (especially outdoors).
