 Still I thought they were just the batteries I used so the final time (today) I bought all new Duracell batteries and within 1 hour and a half they were so dim I will never use them again!

 They worked well the next time for the 3 hours I needed them to. I used them the next class time for 3 hours and the batteries drained to a dim light in an hour and one half. Good Idea

 It's very bright and between the clip and the stand, it is versatile. My snow blower doesn't have a light but this one clips to the handlebar and nicely lights my path. IT's a very handy light and my new favorite flashlight.

  I decided to whip up a quick test of runtime of ZL vs Hanklight. There are probably issues with my methodology (not exactly the same emitters, not allowing lights to rest and turn back on etc), but the results are still quite interesting.

Don't get her anything that isn't well regulated - meaning you want a light that has flat, constant output regardless of the battery level. Unregulated lights (like many Sofirn and Wurkkos models, and cheaper lights in general, with a couple exceptions) will drift downward in output as the battery drains.

 It's a beast of a light and built like an absolute tank. It's the highest performance (brightness *and* range) light on this list.

 The build quality is stunning. There's a choice of quality color LED like the skillhunt (the LH351D LED), or one with a bit more brightness and range for outdoor use (the XPL HI LED). It comes with a battery and simple, easy-to-use charger included for $30.

 This thing is getting to the point of dangerously bright for just keeping in your pocket because it can hurt, it can burn you like it's. It can be dangerous. I have strobe modes, but I don't remember how to activate them, because I don't I don't care, let's see if I can do this one hand, so I can show you the size of the light compared to the battery. This is harder than it looks by the way all right come on

Zebralight SC64w First Impressions!

I've been using my Zebralights hard since 2011 and they've proven impossible to beat. I still try new lights on occasion, but I always come back to these. The SC64w is one of my favorites. I didn't need to update my SC62 and then SC63w, but I always like the latest and greatest

 Would i rather carry this over just an 18650 light? So that goes back to my previous difficulty with the capacity. If the battery is 550mAh and the case has 3.7x charge in it, we're looking at what? 2,585 mAh? An SC64W with a single 18650 has more capacity and takes up less space. If the bottom of the case is correct and it's 3500 mAh +550 mAh of the cell, thats a bit more than a single 18650 but is it enough to warrant the bulk?

  First off, the highest brightness setting (which is one of the default "high" modes) is pretty impractical for most everyday applications because of how quickly the light overheats. when running this light at high, the head of the flashlight immediately starts to heat up, and even within a minute the flashlight becomes uncomfortably hot to hold. Measuring it with a thermocouple indicated that the body temperature reached at least 47 degrees C (117 F) in a relatively cool room, which while not hot enough to burn your skin, is still more than hot enough to be unpleasant to touch, and the light is short enough and shaped in such a way that you will pretty much always be holding it by the head. This renders the default high mode almost unusable except for very brief spurts

Do you want a no-nonsense light with a simple-to-use UI that you can take out of the box and start using right away? Then this probably isn't the light for you.  Does the thought of pulling up the manual and spending an hour or two in a darkened room fiddling around to manually program each and every one of the modes until everything is exactly to your liking sound appealing? If so, then read on.
