This is great to take outside when it is dark. All three light choices were bright. I really only used the lowest setting in our camper/van because the others were too bright. I'm a bit concerned about battery usage/drainage because I use this lantern only when camping.

This lantern is highly underrated in my opinion.

Similarly priced to competitors' lantern, but very bright. Fairly durable. Also, the batteries seem to last forever, uses for D cells. Simple operation.
