 It boils down to preference to be honest but I think if you are a hard core competitive player you will probably want to stick with 27inch as it keeps your focus more centered rather than looking around a bigger screen.

Is 32 inch for 1440p bad?

 No reason I should have to wait another week for a product that I should never have had to return in the first place. “One day shipping” does not have much merit if the time it takes to get the product sent out the door is several days.

 With prices for 1440p high refresh rate monitors constantly going down, I wonder whether there still is a market for premium offerings like this one from Asus. It's the XG27AQ and while other models strive to be the cheapest in the market, this definitely does not. Instead, Asus tries to attract us with features like ELMB Sync, a refresh rate bump to 170Hz and local dimming. These features usually are absent in the lower price range

 Of course, the Delta E is relatively high as we're testing a wide gamma monitor against sRGB here, but the color use are pretty accurate, so that's not too big of a problem. And when we're testing against DCI-P3 instead, the Delta E even shrinks a bit. Now for somewhat serious color work, we have to perform an individual calibration and profiling nevertheless. The results are very good for both sRGB and DCI-P3 after doing so

Asus XG27AQ Review - Premium or Overpriced?

 You want to be having like a 3080 or higher or at least be looking forward to the next generation of GPUs as an upgrade to support those kind of pixels at that refresh rate. By all means you can also kind of consider it as a bit of a future proofing option for your setup as well. Maybe you're currently gaming in the kind of 165 hertz range but maybe you want that extra refresh rate headroom available to you in the future. That's something I can totally respect

 The only time i would suggest someone turn on ELMB sync is if the framerate is constantly above 120 hz and that is being generous. If the framerate is above 140 Hz, that's the ideal spot for ELMB sync.  COLORS  when it comes to color calibration, the monitor already comes in pre calibrated and rest assure they will give you a calibration map to prove it. This is the best part about the monitor, it really does come in calibrated when you receive it

Although we tested the 32 inch model, the results also apply to the 27 inch variant. It has a fast 240Hz refresh rate that results in a responsive gaming experience. It also has native FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) support and G-SYNC compatibility to reduce screen tearing. It has an excellent response time across its entire refresh rate range, and it has a low input lag that makes gaming feel responsive. It's good for dark room gaming as it has high contrast, but it has narrow viewing angles. Sadly, there are reports of the backlight flickering with VRR enabled, which gets distracting.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card and want a monitor with native G-SYNC support, the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM is a great alternative. It has the same 1440p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate as the Samsung monitor, and it has the same quick response time and low input lag. It's not as good for dark room gaming, but it also has wider viewing angles if you want to use it for co-op gaming.

If you want to save a bit of money or your graphics card can't handle the 4k resolution of the LG 27GP950-B, then a mid-range monitor like the Samsung LC27G75TQSNXZA is a good choice. It's available in both 27 and 32-inches, and although we tested the 32-inch model, the results are also valid for the 27-inch variant. It's an excellent gaming monitor with many features, but it has a lower 1440p resolution than the LG, so images aren't as sharp. Instead, it has a higher 240Hz refresh with a quick response time, whether you're gaming at its max refresh rate or 60Hz. It also supports FreeSync natively and has G-SYNC compatibility.

It's a great choice for dark room gaming because it has a high native contrast ratio resulting in deep blacks, but its edge-lit local dimming feature is terrible, so it's better to disable it. It also displays a wide range of colors and has okay HDR peak brightness if you want to use it for HDR gaming, but as expected for many monitors, it doesn't deliver the most impactful HDR experience.

You Can't quite make out his pupils or anything like that,, but his control stick is very well-defined.  The Other part is the pixel response times, And one quick and dirty way to see how good those are is just dragging a window with text across the screen. You Can see here, I'm getting very little in terms of discoloration at the edge of my window, and text remains readable until I'm moving it quite quickly across the screen. So You can see, it's actually curved a little bit more sharply in the middle, and it's a little bit gentler towards the edges. So I’m not after the high refresh rates or quick response times but more so the picture quality and accurate colour.

I have been looking at the LG 27UL850, LG 27UL600-W and the Samsung U28R55 monitors however it has been hard to find stock and they utilise FreeSync so I’m just wanting to know if there’s any alternatives that people can recommend? I have a Nvidia GeForce GPU and Intel CPU and am using DisplayPort so I was looking for something that has G-Sync as well if possible.

Ideally I’d want to spend under $1000 (Australian Dollars) if possible but willing to budge a bit more if it’s worth it and the monitor be in the 27/28 inch range.

Also just a side note do PC 4K HDR monitors work with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X with 4K and HDR over HDMI?

Good HDR monitor for Photo/Video editing and Gaming?

 All the icons and menus are extremely tiny. They are shrinking with the higher resolution. They seem to have an attitude problem with blowing themselves up to the 175% I asked for. Not all software gets along

 We will see. As I have done on other reviews, I will amend this one if my viewpoint changes..

 It should aid in focus, I hope.  I will say at the 2560 x 1440 resolution, which it calls native, it only allows a 144 Mhz refresh rate, nothing greater. So the 240 Mhz that it advertises must be at lower resolutions. But 144 Mhz is better than the standard 60 Mhz that you get with most monitors

Very nice monitor but very difficult to understand the numerous settings

 I'm effectively doing a new car review every single week. Now To kick things off, let's talk about specs and here the 27 inch and 32 inch models are identical, whereby they have a 240 Hertz 1440p Va panel that's installed, which is pretty impressive to say the least, and there's very few panels out there that have that same sort of resolution and refresh rate. Furthermore, this has Hdr 600 certification, which is a rarity in most modern monitors. I'm just glad to see that Samsung has actually got that standard and we'll talk about Hdr and brightness further down in this review

 So what I'm trying to say here is in terms of its response time. It's seriously impressive, be it for casual or in terms of competitive gaming. Now in terms of the input lag, it's also similarly very impressive. Now, While it won't quite compete with some class-leading Ips 1440p, 144 Hertz monitors out there on the market or indeed some other Tn based panels, it is among one of the best 240 Hertz panels that I have tested When it comes to input lag and basically combining this with the overall response time of the monitor, you're getting a fantastic overall gaming experience
