 It boils down to preference to be honest but I think if you are a hard core competitive player you will probably want to stick with 27inch as it keeps your focus more centered rather than looking around a bigger screen.

Is 32 inch for 1440p bad?

 No reason I should have to wait another week for a product that I should never have had to return in the first place. “One day shipping” does not have much merit if the time it takes to get the product sent out the door is several days.

ASUS XG27AQM Faulty power supply/brick

 With prices for 1440p high refresh rate monitors constantly going down, I wonder whether there still is a market for premium offerings like this one from Asus. It's the XG27AQ and while other models strive to be the cheapest in the market, this definitely does not. Instead, Asus tries to attract us with features like ELMB Sync, a refresh rate bump to 170Hz and local dimming. These features usually are absent in the lower price range

 Of course, the Delta E is relatively high as we're testing a wide gamma monitor against sRGB here, but the color use are pretty accurate, so that's not too big of a problem. And when we're testing against DCI-P3 instead, the Delta E even shrinks a bit. Now for somewhat serious color work, we have to perform an individual calibration and profiling nevertheless. The results are very good for both sRGB and DCI-P3 after doing so

Asus XG27AQ Review - Premium or Overpriced?

 You want to be having like a 3080 or higher or at least be looking forward to the next generation of GPUs as an upgrade to support those kind of pixels at that refresh rate. By all means you can also kind of consider it as a bit of a future proofing option for your setup as well. Maybe you're currently gaming in the kind of 165 hertz range but maybe you want that extra refresh rate headroom available to you in the future. That's something I can totally respect

 And the other side of this is that you do need a pretty hefty GPU to make use of these 1440p high refresh rate options. I mean don't plan on getting this if you have like a 3060 or a 3050 or something like that. The King of 1440p Monitors? Asus XG27AQM 270Hz

 The only time i would suggest someone turn on ELMB sync is if the framerate is constantly above 120 hz and that is being generous. If the framerate is above 140 Hz, that's the ideal spot for ELMB sync.  COLORS  when it comes to color calibration, the monitor already comes in pre calibrated and rest assure they will give you a calibration map to prove it. This is the best part about the monitor, it really does come in calibrated when you receive it

It's way too bright and you cannot change it because almoost verything is locked out

 Don'te ven bother using HDR on gaming because it does the same thing. The backlight bleed and IPS glow also is extremely distracting making watchign movies unwatchable. Its fast refresh rate results in superb motion handling, with an incredibly fast response time at any refresh rate, resulting in extremely clear motion with no noticeable blur behind fast-moving objects. It also has fantastic low input lag, ensuring your actions are in-sync with the action on-screen.

It has very good peak brightness with SDR content and good reflection handling, so glare isn't an issue in bright rooms, and the image remains accurate when viewed from the side, so it's great for sharing the screen with someone else. It supports HDR, and although it has a low contrast ratio, bright highlights in games stand out well. This monitor also offers a few NVIDIA proprietary features like the Reflex Latency Analyzer, which measures the latency of your entire setup. While you don't get the same dark room performance as the AW3423DW, it's still a good choice to use with a few lights around as it gets bright and has good reflection handling, so visibility isn't a problem in a well-lit room.

If you want to save some money and still want a high-end monitor with a ton of features, then something in the upper mid-range category like the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM is a good choice. It's different from the Dell Alienware AW3423DW because it has a 2560x1440 resolution with a 16:9 aspect ratio, so you get a smaller screen, and it also doesn't have the same remarkable picture quality, but that's the trade-off you need to make for something cheaper. However, the ASUS has a much higher 240Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for high-frame-rate gaming if your graphics card supports a 1440p signal up to that frame rate.

Like the Dell, it has native G-SYNC support, and there are a few extra features you can take advantage of with an NVIDIA graphics card. It has NVIDIA's Reflex Latency Analyzer, which helps measure the latency of your entire setup so you can identify which sources cause the most delay. The input lag of the monitor itself is very low, and you won't feel any delay with it. The response time is also excellent across its entire refresh rate range, resulting in smooth motion with fast-moving objects.

If you have an NVIDIA graphics card and want to take full advantage of it with the native G-SYNC support, consider a monitor like the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM. While the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85 has G-SYNC compatibility, the native G-SYNC support on this monitor provides a few extra features, like NVIDIA's Reflex Latency Analyzer, letting you measure the latency of your entire setup.  So there it is, the PG279QM, and I think it's the best 1440p monitor that you can buy right now. I would just recommend that you take a look at as well the 27GP850 from LG, and just consider whether that extra refresh rate here is kind of worth it for you. I think the better option for most people is going to be the LG, most people don't need beyond 180Hz, but if you are just seriously looking for a zero compromise option, and you do play competitive shooters like Valorant for example as well, then the extra money probably will be worth it for you. Especially consider that this is a gaming monitor that is going to last you a very very long time
