 You can still run most of your games but with a serious performance hit and no fan noise. If you have headphones you'll probably not notice either way.

Solid laptop that runs everything on ultra

 Battery life is pretty darn good considering this thing has a 2060 in it (same idea for the 2070 model). Small things such as the mic and webcam are good as well and there is generally great ease of use.

 I just need your wide range of opinions to get an idea. I personally lean towards ASUS Tuf coz of its newer specs and looks. Do help me with it!!!

 I play Apex Legends, Fifa newer launch, Battlefield and so and so. My priority is heat management and an allrounder in all departments and obviously looks as well. The following are the ones I have filtered out,

 Next issue is random throttling upon start up. As I said the laptop throttles to turbo fans upon startup or the smallest of tasks. No this is not a software setting I unintentionally have set. The unit also consistently alters my external SSD's (as you cannot fit anything other than an NVME for internal memory) formatting, making it extremely difficult to set up shortcuts for my editing

  Overall the laptop runs games well, it's performance has dropped off dramatically in my few months of owning which is extremely disappointing, aswell as all the issues with it. But if you're doing your research as I did, you'll know that any laptop device in this price range with these components is going to have some issues, I just feel it should be less than what I have.

Decent gaming, faulty hardware

 I have it for a month and 1 week ago although it was charged up to 60% the next day when i tried to open it the battery was dead. What is going on ?

 So far I’ve played AC Odyssey/Origins/Syndicate, SW: Jedi Fallen Order, Destiny 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite, The Witcher 3, No Man’s Sky, Ryse Son of Rome and many other in the top graphic settings. Never had any issue. There’re many preset for fan and cpu/gpu power. The auto settings for the fan will make it really quiet (the outside metal might feel a bit hot, but totally standable

 The power input is at the left side, by the middle of the keyboard. Bluetooth works nicely with Xbox One Controller. The reason I’d give 4.99: while typing, the edge next to you might slightly bother you skin (since I’m using it mostly for gaming with a controller and I use a wireless keyboard when I need to type, doesn’t affect me, and it gets a bit too hot for lap use sometimes while gaming

 The fans seem to run on turbo speed all threw game play when plugged in. When unplugged, I only got maybe an hour of play on battery life and it gave me a 30 second warning and it turned off..

Runs very hot. Challenging to access RAM/Storage. Short battery.

 So not only is it much cooler but also much more powerful. I was mostly using Cinebench just to make sure the undervolt was stable, but I kept getting increasing scores which now makes sense to the increase operating speed of the chip. This is different from an overclock (something I have done in the past) because this isn't fixed at like 5.3ghz for a 10700k, the turbo on the 9750h still remains 4

 The GPU is still running around in the mid 60 degree range at full load without any adjustments so I feel like that's pretty respectable as is.. just thinking I might be able to squeeze a little more juice out of the GPU.  Before and after:  CPU - 97° before adjustments; 70° after GPU - TBD  Side note: a wonderful side effect of undervolting (which I didn't know because I actually didn't know anything about it prior to buying this laptop) is that you increase the core frequency when you undervolt because the CPU isn't being throttled by the higher temperatures and that means it can run faster at higher speeds

Great value but it does run super hot

Definitely the most powerful and slickest machine I've ever had. Comes with a lot of features thanks to it being an MSI, plus with Nvidia software. In my first few months of having it, I've had little to no complaints at all regarding the software, however a few things should be noted about its build;  As is on par with monster gaming pc's like these, it can get VERY HOT, so much so that wasd keys can become painful to the touch, if you're somebody that games for long periods, definitely invest in a cooling pad, it will do you a lot of favors. But the heat is at no fault to the computer, that's just what happens when you want so much in such a small build

  I don't have much to compare to, but I would say it is worth the price if you love gaming on the go. Pair this puppy with a case, mouse, and a cooling pad, and this baby can take you places. Great build, great performance, great computer. I'm now a big fan of MSI because of this
