Faulty software makes the devices do not work.
I tried to update my mobile computer hardware to the latest generation of ASUS products. However, ASUS products have proven to be COMPLETELY USELESS as their control software, "Armory Crate" for the LED lighting, keybinding, and mouse polling rate does not work simply because it won't detect the dev...

super fast
This laptop is a rocket ship, fast boot time and does not appear to be loaded with a lot of bloatware (at least a lot less than others I have seen). I have not used it with only the battery and have not needed the camera yet so I did not rate those.

Very good laptop but some minor unpleasantries
I originally had one of the first Strix laptop models made and it was amazing. Sadly, the old girl finally stopped working due to a malfunctioning motherboard, but that was after some years of use for schooling, gaming, and other entertainment. I was distraught and had tried the Zephyrus G to no ava...

Do NOT buy this laptop, or Any Asus laptops! The company is ripping off consumers!
3/17/2018: Update after sending my notebook to Asus under RMA. Asus has refused to repair my notebook and tried to bill me a for a new unit. A technician at Asus damaged my notebook and they are blaming it on me. I escalated to top management and was told they would provide me a 20% discount to buy ...

An okay deal, needs upgrades in my opinion
At the time I purchased this, it was a good deal, and I won't change my star rating. However, if you are purchasing a laptop today, compare this to ones of newer hardware makes and you'll find even other ASUS products like the TUF line in a very similar price bracket with better hardware. I do have ...

Completed hardware tests on unpacking
I will be updating this review as I use it, but I wanted to give my first impressions. First off, after unboxing and updating, I ran all the standard hardware tests (dead pixel check, keyboard check, cpu/gpu stress tests) and found no issues. That was nice since I was concerned about ordering online...

Excellent gaming laptop with a few draw backs. Read before purchase.
I bought this Asus to replace an aging MSI I had for 4 years. That sported a 4th gen i7 with a gtx980m that performed admirably (despite being close to 9lbs without the brick). With the dawn of VR however I needed something beffier to run my Oculus Rift S. After doing research, I settled on this lap...

Good but with some annoying keyboard issues.
First off, I am not a gamer. I purchased a gaming laptop to edit 4k videos, to run Adobe filters, and run intense trading algorithms. That being said, I HATE the keyboard. The AWS & d keys are white, which looks so tacky. Next the font of all the letters of the keyboard is wierd and gamer like, a no...

Screen Not Ready for Primetime
I'd love to give this laptop a better review, but I can't, because it never got past the initial setup. The first one I received within a couple of minutes had numerous discolored vertical lines in a two inch slice of the screen, which persisted through reboots and were visible in BIOS and in a sepa...
