If you plan on getting a monitor for co-op gaming, then the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD is the best 1440p FreeSync monitor for your needs. It's an excellent gaming monitor that has a lower refresh rate than the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, but with a max refresh rate of 165Hz over a DisplayPort connection it still delivers a responsive gaming experience.

The MAG274QRF-QD is a good choice for co-op gaming because it has wide viewing angles so the image remains accurate whether you're sitting right in front or if you're sharing the screen with a friend off to the side. It also has excellent ergonomics so you can place the screen in an ideal viewing position as you can rotate it, tilt it, and adjust the height as you wish. In terms of its gaming performance, it has low input lag for a responsive feel and motion looks smooth at any refresh rate thanks to its quick response time. While it has native FreeSync support, it's also certified by NVIDIA to be G-SYNC compatible.

Unfortunately, while its sRGB picture mode has decent out-of-the-box accuracy, it locks most picture settings, and if you want to change picture modes, the colors are over-saturated. If you care about color accuracy, then it's best to get the monitor calibrated for the best experience possible. Besides that, it's the best 1440p FreeSync monitor if you need something for co-op gaming.

The best 1440p monitor for co-op gaming on the PS4 is the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. If you don't like the curved screen or narrow viewing angles on the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, this is an excellent choice as it has a flat screen and wide viewing angles. It also has excellent ergonomics, making it easy to place in an ideal viewing position.

It won't have any issues with 1080p signals from the PS4, and it downscales 4k @ 60Hz signals to 1440p, meaning you can use it with the PS4 Pro too. The response time at 60Hz is great as there's minimal motion blur, and it also has a backlight strobing feature to reduce persistence blur, but it causes image duplication with 60 fps content. The input lag is also really low at 60Hz, so gaming feels responsive. Text and images look sharp thanks to the 1440p resolution as it has good text clarity.

Unfortunately, it's not the best monitor in terms of color accuracy. It has an sRGB mode with decent out-of-the-box accuracy, but it locks most picture settings. If you want to use another picture mode, most modes have over-saturated colors that can become distracting. Regardless, it's still the best monitor for co-op gaming on the PS4.

The MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD offers the best value for MacBook Pro users, especially for content creators. It has an incredibly wide color gamut for content creators, but unlike the Apple Studio Display, it has just decent accuracy out of the box. It has great visibility in brighter rooms, with impressive peak brightness in SDR and decent reflection handling. The 27 inch, 1440p screen is okay for multitasking, and it results in good overall text clarity.

It's fully compatible with recent MacBook Pros, and everything from HDR to its variable refresh rate feature works perfectly. There are no issues with sleep, either, and windows go back to their original position when your computer wakes up. It has good viewing angles, so you can easily share your screen with someone else.

Unfortunately, although it supports USB-C, so you won't need any adapters, it has very limited power delivery, meaning you'll need to keep your MacBook plugged into a wall adapter to keep it charged. Other than that, it's an impressive monitor overall.

If you need a monitor that supports HDR, check out the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. It has a similar form factor as the ASUS ProArt Display PA278CV, with a 27 inch, 1440p screen, but it has worse viewing angles and a slightly worse stand, so it's not quite as versatile. It has an impressive SDR color gamut, with perfect coverage of the sRGB and the Adobe RGB color spaces, so it's a great choice for content creators, but colors appear over-saturated at times. It also supports HDR and can display an incredibly wide color gamut in the DCI P3 color space. It also has a USB-C input so you can connect your Mac Mini and display an image.

If you only use the monitor for text processing or browsing the web, go with the ASUS because it has better ergonomics, better viewing angles, and a USB-C port. If you need a wide color gamut or HDR support, go with the MSI.

The best 1440p monitor we've tested for co-op gaming is the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. It's an excellent gaming monitor with a fast refresh rate and an incredibly fast response time at the max refresh rate, resulting in crystal-clear motion with little blur. It has wide viewing angles and excellent ergonomics, making it a great choice for co-op gaming, as the image doesn't degrade when viewed at an angle, and you can easily adjust it to an ideal viewing position for everyone.

It has a single USB-C port, so you can easily connect it to your MacBook Pro or ultrabook, but sadly, you can't use it as a USB hub, and its power delivery is limited to 15W, so it can't fully charge your device.

It also has many extra features, most of which are designed for gaming, though, so it's a great monitor if you need a distraction from work. The best Xbox Series S monitor for co-op gaming we've tested is the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. It has the same 1440p resolution as the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, which makes it a good choice for the Series S, and you won't have any issues playing 1440p games up to 120 fps from the console on it.

It's better for co-op gaming because it has wider viewing angles, so the image remains accurate when viewing from the sides. It also has excellent ergonomics, so you can easily place the screen in an ideal viewing position and adjust it to your liking, whether you're co-op gaming or playing on your own. It has a lower max refresh rate than the Samsung, but it's still high at 165Hz, and motion looks smooth both at 120Hz and at 60Hz. Also, it has FreeSync VRR support to reduce screen tearing while gaming.

Sadly, it has over-saturated colors unless you're using the sRGB mode, and if you do, it locks most picture settings, so it's not the best monitor if you want to customize the picture settings to get the best image possible. Also, it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray in the dark. Besides that, it's the best 1440p monitor for co-op gaming on the Xbox Series S.

Micro-Star International, otherwise known as MSI, makes computer parts and accessories with a focus on gaming. Like other brands, they're headquartered in Taiwan, and they started in 1986 by producing motherboards and entered the gaming industry in the late 2000s, so they haven't been involved in the industry as long as some other companies. Still, they offer great gaming monitors that are often at a low cost. While their lineup isn't as versatile and expansive as other brands, they focus on gaming and create good monitors for it. They have a few gaming monitor lineups, like the MEG Series, MAG ARTYMIS Series, Optix MAG Series, G Series, and the Oculux NXG Series. They have many 144Hz and 165Hz monitors, and they even have a 360Hz monitor if you want something with a higher refresh rate.

Sadly, most MSI monitors aren't ideal for office use as they're meant for gaming. They have a lot of 1080p monitors, meaning the text clarity isn't the best on those, and images aren't sharp. Their models also tend to have VA panels with limited ergonomics, so they're not good choices if you need to adjust the screen for someone sitting next to you as the image looks washed out. Still, there are a few versatile options like the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD that uses a quantum dot layer to produce a wide range of colors, and it's also an impressive gaming monitor as games look life-like.

If you like your games to look extra colorful, the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD is the best gaming monitor for your rig. This monitor posted the widest color gamut we&rsquo;ve ever recorded: 112.19% of DCI-P3 after our recommended calibration. 90% of DCI-P3 would be impressive, so this is one color-saturated screen. 
Contrast is also strong for an IPS panel, hitting 1,129.1:1 after our calibration. And for those concerned about speed, this 165 Hz screen kept up with the 170 Hz Gigabyte M27Q in our testing 
Color purists, however, will lament the lack of an sRGB mode, considering the MAG274QRF-QD&rsquo;s sRGB coverage is at 166.33%. Its backlight strobe for fighting motion blur is also a disappointment. You can&rsquo;t use Adaptive-Sync with it, the brightness goes down by about 50% and it created ghosting that resulted in a parallax effect with fast motion. In addition, this is yet another gaming monitor to offer HDR but without any noticeable image boost over SDR.
But if you can get past those caveats, you&rsquo;ll enjoy the most colorful monitor to ever hit our lab.

 This monitor's color accuracy produces an average delta e of 4.6 and with the lack of color modes for srgb, adobe, rgb or p3, there's no way to clamp the color gamut, so things will be saturated and also inaccurate. If you are a professional you'll want to get this monitor calibrated because calibrating it yields basically perfect results. If you're, just a general user who just wants to play, games, consume media or do some basic color work, then you should be happy with the out of the box performance

 Yes, other manufacturers have a similar feature and software, but they either don't carry over all of the functionality from the built-in osd or don't allow you to assign profiles to an app in the foreground.  In order to run the monitor at 1440p, 165Hz you’ll need to use. Displayport HDMI is limited to 144Hz, as this is just a limitation of the HDMI 2.0b spec.

 Here. It’s got a 165Hz refresh rate and MSI are claiming a 1ms GTG response, time. Combined with adaptive sync meaning you can use either FreeSync with a Radeon graphics card or G-Sync with Nvidia it’s got some nice sounding features for gaming that I’ll put to the test.

 The last time we took a standalone look at the 1440p market was in july of 2021 and it's fair to say a few. Things have changed since then in terms of monitor releases and pricing. So this video will serve as an update with fresh information recommendations for the early parts of 2022. As with our previous best of videos, we tend to talk about and recommend, monitors, we've personally tested and know to be good or monitors that are very similar to products

 I just don't think va or tn options in this tier are worth considering, given how good the ips monitors of today are at delivering a balanced experience of the 1440p medium refresh monitors, we've tested using our latest methodology, all 25 of them, the mag274 qrf-qd has among The best response, behavior we've seen across the entire refresh rate range average performance, is fast around 6 milliseconds, but crucially, overshoot is kept to a minimum as well. This gives us enough speed to manage the 165hz refresh rate without introducing artifacts when gaming at lower refresh rates. Like at 60 hertz, one thing we always look for is this sort of single overdrive mode experience? It means you can choose one overdrive, setting and use it for all gaming conditions.  I wouldn’t get the Lg27GL850, the nano IPS is outdated. Get instead the 27GP850 which is releasing soon and has better response times or get the M27Q from gigabyte or the MSI MAG274QRF QD.

 I am looking at these two monitors from LG, and I can't decide whether I want a 4k 60hz or 1440p 144hz (both 27").

I am wondering which one I would benefit the most from under these parameters:

\- My computer isn't all too powerful, I got it about 3yrs ago and it has a GTX 1050 2GB and an 8th Gen Core i5 8400. However, I will probably get a new one in the next few years.

\- I sit about 25" away from my monitor which is currently a 1080p 24"

\- I like video editing, and I'm wondering if a 4k monitor could help with that in the future.

\- I also like gaming, but I don't think I will be able to get a lot of use out of a high refresh rate monitor because of my computer. Granted, I wouldn't be able to run in 4k either but at least I could play 1080p with it being scaled improperly.

Considering all of this, which one should I get?

Can't choose between a high refresh rate with lower quality or low refresh rate and high quality

I first wanted the LG 27GL850-B, then I heard that the Dell S2721DGF was just slightly better, for the same price (both at $400 currently). Then, a third option I was made aware of, which is the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD. This seems to have much better contrast ratio than the other options, so I think it's worth the extra $40.

 So definitely in the high end range for these specs and a competitor to the lg and dell monitors. I mentioned there's also going to be a model without the dash qd, in other words, without the quantum dot element to this display at a lower price, but i'm not 100 sure how the panels differ otherwise or what panel it's using. So today's review is of the dash qd model anyway, which is the first to hit retail shelves, and i think it'll be coming later this month. In most places, the design msi using here is pretty standard for them, so it won't blow you away with stunning aesthetics, but it gets the job done

 It has a 165 hertz refresh rate wide dci, p3 color gamut, rated 1 millisecond response times, and it's got all the usual adaptive sync functionality, including being nvidia gsync compatible. However, the big news here is that msi aren't using lg's nano ips panel. Instead, this display is using a brand new panel from au optronics, which msi are branding as rapid ips, although i couldn't find any definitive branding for it in any case, msi promising one millisecond greater gray response times here with an ips display without using the lg panel That has become the mainstay of performance ips gaming monitors, so, in addition to looking at this, msi monitor as a whole we're going to be getting a good look at how au optronics is going in the ips market. I'Ll also just drop the price here right at the start, which is 550 us dollars or 860 australians

 So today's review is of the dash qd model anyway, which is the first to hit retail shelves, and i think it'll be coming later this month. In most places, the design msi using here is pretty standard for them, so it won't blow you away with stunning aesthetics, but it gets the job done. Basic matte black plastic for the most part, with a few flourishes on the rear, different textures and, of course, some rgb lighting. Thankfully msi seem to have dropped the front rgb leds from their new high-end displays, but there is still a bit on the back

MSI MAG274QRF-QD Review, Setting New Performance Records at 1440p 165Hz

 We'Re going to kick this off in chronological order through the reviews throughout this year with the alienware aw 2721d. You know sort of can be good, but i think our monitor that i'd probably have to re-rank here and put a little bit lower sort of this va monitor that we've got here in the seat here you know on reflection, i really don't think i would recommend This for a lot of people, i think spending a little bit more and buying an ips, monitor or dropping down in size, even going from 32 inch to 27 inch at the same sort of price is a better way to go. So for me, i probably would have to end up dropping the cq32 g3se into the dtr, which means that the pixel monitor that i reviewed that i found to be pretty similar, but worse than this aoc monitor, would then have to go into the etfs. That'S probably one of the re-rankings that i would consider doing, and then we can just sort of shuffle this in there to break off that gap and keep it nice
