I’m using these in a nearfield desktop setup. Connected via Modi 3 + Liquid Spark. I previously used Def Tech Pro Monitor 1000s and Fluance Ai60s. I’d say the def techs were my favorite all around. Sounded well at low volumes, clear and defined, lively sound signature. The Ai60s were ok - the bass w...

Clear, crisp audio and nice design that work with Bluetooth and have many input options
Clear, crisp sound, can get very loud. I like the design. Its nice that the grates have magnets to snap on front. I also like that it connects using bluetooth and love all the input options. Also having a remote is useful. The cable is quite long which can be good if people need more lengt...

Sound is just ok

The Walnut finish was very nice looking, but the sound was lacking and they are physically HUGE on my desk while not offering any larger, deeper, etc soundstage in this desk setup scenario (nearfield listening). They sounded a bit flat and boring to me. Definitely needs a sub, which pretty much means the smaller YU4 (or YU2) + sub would have been better money spent. Even in a living room setup and turned up, I wasn't impressed- better, but not great.
